Quote:
All you need is love.

It's a quote that's been around for a good amount of time now, and most everyone knows it.
Is the key to life and happiness really just love?
Or is there something else?
Is love just a part of it or is it all of it?

Tell me what you think.
Do you really need only love or is love only a part of life?
And if it's a part, how big of a part is it?

I personally think love is only a part of life.
I'm sitting here right now, unable to sleep due to issues going on between myself and my family.
The biggest problem of me being unable to sleep right now though is because there's no one here to hug, or hold me and just tell me everything's okay.
My family is just so... harsh sometimes (not just to me, but to everyone) that I am literally afraid to ask someone for just a hug because I know they'd lash out at me, calling me "whiny" or "stupid" or some other insulting name that makes me cry when no one is around because my bottles that have been filled with hidden emotions have been filled past their limit long ago.
This is the perfect time for someone I love and someone who loves me to come in and just cradle me to sleep.
Problem is, the love is a bit dry between myself and my family.
And I can't sleep right now without at least some.
So I do think love is the only part in life.

Oh, and please don't turn this thread on me and my family issues.
That was just an example as to why I think life is about love.

Love is a part of our harsh lives dear~
Without love, we wouldn't be here. We wouldn't even exist.
We all need love to live and most of us live because of love.
Love for self, love for family, love for friends etc~
I believe that without love, we wouldn't be able to live as we are living now.

Some people forget about love and focus on hatred. That's the reason why people always fight and quarrel and ignore each other, causing misery and pain. I believe that what you're going through now is just a part of life too. I've experienced that too, no warm arms around me to comfort me, feeling insecure and lost. If you just believe that your family loves you, probably that will help lessen your emotional burden a little.

Well, if you ignore the basic needs such as food and anything related, what do you think?
Is love really all we need?
Or is there more?

Psychologically speaking, love is an important part of a happy life, but it's not the only part. There is much more that goes into being happy, such as a fulfilling career; you'll feel useless if you simply lounge around, even if you have love. Belief in a higher power is another key aspect. It doesn't have to be true devotion, but that helps. There are others, but those three (love, work, and belief) are the top three that I recall.
