TWISTED MINDS  There is a city far away called Austuria in the Republic of Kushan. Peace and prosperity has ruled in the Republic for many generations. The citizens have all mingled well and for a long time have only participated in furthering the prosperity of their nation. This changed a little over a hundred years ago when the plagues and famine came. Some say it was caused by overpopulation, or the careless discoveries from science that went out of control. People became paranoid and quick to blame each other. Doctors started playing with different ideas to combat disease and soon lost sight of their oaths. Companies became corrupt corporations that acted like feudal principalities ruled by barons who only answered to the senate. Soon even the senators were controlled by these barons and the corruption of this once great society became complete. Industrialization and the erection of great factories on every street has created a monstrous pollution problem that has only added to the presence of disease among the people. Many cannot afford even the simplest of things thanks to heavy taxation. The elite now rule the Republic and all others are seen as cattle. At the very least, the Republic is ruled efficiently as even the crime lords have managed to mingle with the bureaucrats. All the while the citizens just keep on living, not knowing any better. All these factors have come together to create the perfect setting for the most disturbing crime spree in recorded history. None would have guessed that a handful of children would be the cause of all the blood shed and the events to change the history of a nation. In this time of corruption, there lived a rich and powerful man who was raised in the mafia and eventually earned his place among the elite of the Republic. His name was Lucien Favrille de Vendemaeon. Ruthless in his youth, he cut a trail of blood and tears straight to the top of society. Though he gained great power and renown, it all came with a price. Some call it the "Curse of Vendemaeon", a twist of fate that smites the greatest of the Vendemaeons with insanity and other physical calamities. Despite his deteriorating mental condition, Lucien solidified his family's place in the bureaucracy along with it's seemingly eternal power and wealth. Placing his younger, less successful brother in charge of everything, Lucien had an enormous estate constructed in Austuria. There he shut himself in to slowly give into his growing insanity. Of course, no man can live in complete isolation. His woman had been unable to bare him any children to carry on his name and years ago she had been felled by assassins. To continue his family name and ensure his great wealth and power never fell to waste, Lucien made one great journey across all of Kushan in search of children worthy of the House of Vendemaeon. He was gone for several years, but finally returned with his heirs and heiresses. Again he shut himself into his great mansion, only to go out when absolutely necessary. As for his children, they had in them a dark secret. One that made Lucien choose them above all others. Perhaps this was all an extension of his insanity. Maybe it was the Curse of Vendemaeon manifesting itself or possibly even the work of some greater evil carving out the dark destiny of the Vendemaeons. Either way, great evil was to come from these children whose names and deads would scorch all of Austuria and change the Republic of Kushan forever.

The House Literally called the House of Vendemaeon, it is a massive estate that is built like a fortress on the outside and a palace on the inside. It is the sum of all of Lucien's paranoia and lust for expensive things. It is larger on the inside and goes several stories underground. It is often referred to as a castle by other citizens. It houses many of the servants in the lower floors and even the many guards. Some say that this estate proves that Lucien was the closest thing to a King the Republic has had in the last few generations. The ManLucien Favrille de Vendemaeon
 Lucien has grown senile and is believed to be totally insane. He hears voices, sees things that aren't there, and tells stories of adventures and wars that never happened or that he was never apart of. He believes he has lived for much longer than he really has, thus backing up his claims to have been witness to ancient events. For some reason, his skills and abilities in business and management are still very sharp. Some have speculated that he is only pretending to be as crazy as he seems, but no one is willing to get too close to find out. Lucien treats his children very well, as though they were his entire world. At least that is when they are around him. He drops everything for them and thinks they can do no wrong, only gain experience and grow. He seems like he has no idea about his children's "issues" and protects them fiercely. However he still allows them all the freedom they desire and even the authorities respect this. Though he has still retained his sadistic and cunning nature, anyone who makes an enemy of Lucien or his children are dealt with swiftly and harshly, often mob-land style.{NPC} His Brother
Lestat Narsille de Vendemaeon
Lestat was born long after Lucien and is only his half brother. Despite having different mothers, the two remained very close. Lestat always looked up to his brother and tried to emulate him in every way. He became very cunning and skilled in strategy as well as business. Instead of following Lucien's bloody path, Lestat decided he would take the more honest route to business. He became a powerful businessman who soon came to be in charge of not only Lucien's assets, but those of many other Bureaucrats throughout the Republic. Preferring to avoid bloodshed, Lestat always forced buyouts and economic choke-holds to carve his path to greatness. He became very well liked and respected, but was never able to grasp a firm hold over others like his brother had with fear tactics. Lestat has fathered his own children recently and often allows them to mingle with Lucien's adopted children, unknown of their psychological problems. He has tried to be a good influence to the children and sees Eron as the one capable of being successful in this world, choosing him as the favorite.
{NPC} The Children
There are 4 1/2 children that are declared as official heirs and heiresses to the House of Vendemaeon under Lucien. They all live with him in his mansion and are taken care of by many servants. They have near complete freedom and a huge amount of allowance. They are seen as royalty and are expected to mingle well with the children of the other Bureaucrats. However, this does not mean they aren't allowed to mingle with anyone else. At worst, its only a risk to themselves to be so close to "peasants" for fear of thievery or disease. {I want players to fill these 4 positions before any custom characters are allowed} Eron Rai de Vendemaeon
 He is a cheerful, upbeat boy who is full of energy and loves the taste of life, literally. He is a sadistic cannibal and believes he devours the souls and strength of his victims so they become his servants in the next life. Eron is the most active and social and actually has many friends all over this part of town. Unfortunately for them, the ones he likes the most tend to become his victims. Deep down, Eron believes he is a were-beast of some kind and uses this to further justify himself. He thinks he is above human and that all others except family are just cattle and slave material. He even has jagged teeth, oddly enough, which add to his delirium. This is passed off as just the way his teeth are. Of all Lucien's children, people tend to praise and approve of him the most.Nero Amari de Vendemaeon X Casca Amari de Vendemaeon
 They are 2 of a kind and completely identical. One is a boy and the other a girl and one always plays one part while the other plays the opposite. Each only refers to the other as "Amari" and they easily convince everyone they they are twins, even though they aren't. They are obsessed with each other to the point of a twisted, murderous love. They see any other person as a threat to this sick relationship of theirs. Anyone except family. They are both superior at manipulation and will often switch places and pretend to be each other. They manipulate their victims into doing whatever they want, even to the point of suicide or a horrible and well orchestrated death. They act exactly the same, with a dark and very gothic demeanor. They speak in unison and sometimes complete each others sentences to annoy people. They love their psychological games they play on everyone almost constantly, loving especially to drive people to their deaths. To them this is the only way to win the game. They have exactly the same interests and are madly in love. People tend to find these two strange and obscure, saying that they will possibly become unknown shut-ins or that they have no future.
Isabel Rose de Vendemaeon aka Jezabel
 Isabel is a sweet and innocent girl with a love for everything. She sees the world as a place with rainbows and meadows. However, she is unstable in several ways. Emotionally, she is very vulnerable and naive meaning she can easily be made to break down into tears. Fear and sadness are her natural reactions to conflict. At least, this is until Jezabel wakes up. Jezabel is the defender and avenger. She is bloodthirsty and completely insane. A masochist, sadist, and demon worshiper. She is extremely violent and bad to the core. She is entirely fearless and has a love for making a horrible, gory mess of her victims. Never stopping until satisfied with the art she has created out of her victim's death, often painting walls and writing messages in blood. Strangely, Isabel is completely unaware of any of this and subconsciously represses the sight of her scars and cuts as though they weren't there. To her, Jezabel is her porcelain doll that she has had for as long as she can remember as well as her closest friend. Isabel is the most loved and is often spoken of as the cutest of all the children. Many other elites of society are often lobbying to convince Lucien to marry off his young Isabel. However, she is his "little bella" and "princess". He may never let her go due to her being his favorite.{her psychosis is deteriorating and may result in more personalities forming in the future.}

You can apply to play as 1 of the 4 original characters. You can also choose to have your character be adopted as another member of the Vendemaeon house or be a cousin. Otherwise, you are either a child of another Bureaucrat or a peasant. Those are the options. - A character can have their Psychosis get worse as the story goes on. They can never get better though as this would make the point of playing a psycho moot. -
