Have you ever thought about what Gaia would be like if BOO had won? No offense to SIN, but...I think a lot of newbies joined SIN for one of two reasons:
1. They didn't really know what was going on so they chose the Sexy Lady.
2. Most of them think being evil is "cool."
I wonder if SIN would have gotten the same consulation prize and either made petitions like us, flamed BOO like there was no tomorrow, started similar guilds, or just got over it. And I think that most people who joined BOO were more level-headed, and SINners were more hot-headed and uncaring towards others. This is a stereotype, of course, and doesn't apply to many SINners who want to help us, and are good sports. What do you think?

Not to mention, SIN's skin is veeeery similar to Superior Form + Oculus Mythica, so if SINers lost their skins, they could still get the same look.
BOO's skin is most similar to Padmavati's Lotus + Twilight Sparkling Skin, but I can't find any substitute for our amazing eyes! So by losing BOO's skin, BOO's overall look has been lost as well. gonk

I don't wonder what it would be like because I know what it would be like. Because our skin would be common, there would be no draw to it. Because SIN's skin is common, there is no draw to it. If we had won, we wouldn't care about our skin. If they had lost, they would say of us what we say of them. They would say that their skin is the more unique, and that ours would be easy to replicate. They would say that whatever their consolation prize would have been was offensive, when it really isn't in the least.
I find the thought that SIN members were hot headed to be fair enough, but not when you indulge yourself and say that BOO was level headed. If anything, and this in a way lends credence to, BOO members were holier-than-thou pricks who thought everyone else children.
Of course, that isn't all of them. Only some.

it's the same way in any contest.
That's why I really don't care about the results of show choir competitions anymore, [it's a big deal in my area] they all work equally hard, but it's the points that stack up and make a winner even though everyone has a good show.
But whoever wins, the folks who get upset for losing make things up about how their choreographer is garbage and they just spend a lot of money on razzle-dazzle with no talent and not enough vocal parts.
whoever wins obviously cheated e__e

whoever wins obviously cheated e__e I think this has been repeated many times, but it wasn't that S.I.N. cheated, it was the overall event. I mean, i think it was a pretty good set-up, but the weapon fires, the percentage, all that seemed to be a little glitched. Also, i think there is a little blame on both sides for hot-headedness (sp?). S.I.N. was constantly in our faces about winning, but we were in their faces when we were in the lead. And it is not easy to replicate any skin. The skins were designed to be unique. I mean, no matter what you do, our B.O.O. skin will not be replicated; it will only have similar copies. Same with S.I.N. if they had lost.

The only thing that really bothered me was the whole 'SIN is evil therefore "cool"' and didn't realize that it stood for the suffering of all creatures on gaia. And then when you pointed it out to them they either made excuses or said "oh... well I guess I'll be neutral then".
*bangs head against wall* If you're roleplaying an evil character, cool. BUT WHAT PART OF SUFFERING IS 'COOL'???? HOW IS EVIL COOL??? WRAAAAA
Nothing would have been different... except I would have been happier... because I would have gotten to keep this avatar AND change with my others. And the SIN people would have gotten the potato.
And I thought people were talking about how SIN's skin was unorigional an BOO's skin was before the end so many that wouldn't have been as big.

It's the same reason that Durem was so popular in the events where you had to pick a town. I mean, sure, some people pick Durem because it has their favourite NPC's, or that legitimately like the town best, but most people pick Durem becuase its more "REBEL". Its colours are red and black, and some of its NPC's include Moira and Natasha, two very punk, rebel-y types. Which is ironic seeing as how when Durem first debuted, it was supposed to be an upper class neighbourhood, of a higher caliber than Barton and Gambino.
Anyhow, Gaia is mainly populated by angsty teenagers who want to rebel against anything and everything, so it makes sense. I myself would have likely picked Durem / Sin up until about 07 or so.
(I am a proud Gambino supporter, and as you well know, a B.O.O. Devotee)

(I am a proud Gambino supporter, and as you well know, a B.O.O. Because, you know...their whole shpiel started over the worm.
But, yeah, I get the whole 'evil' thing. It didn't help that the Sentinel was frikin' sexy. neutral I mean, I typically play for Durem, but that's more so because I like their NPCs more than the other towns (and I can't join Aekea on principle because she was my least favorite character in Tenchi Muyo). I mean, really...they have Edmund, and Natash and Devon later on.
I chose BOO this time around because the Overseer has always been good to me, and I couldn't let him down.
Gaia: In your need to be bad, you've let your friendly neighborhood god-Clam down.
Be ashamed.

I really agree with the OP. Sin was only popular because it was evil i mean the overseer was a great part of gaia before any of this started..... idk.....

I guess most people just didn't look into it that much - evil is rebel is cool lolololol, right? I don't know about any SIN guilds, but I think there would at least be one BOO only guild for the people who stripped off for the FEELS GOOD MAN thread. We had a good time there. ;^;
