Apparently there is a commercial airship that takes you from LA to San Francisco, or even on less expensive 30 minute trips. Worse yet, (Or Better... only saying worse because of the price) you could even learn how to fly an airship. Would any of you actually want to spend the $200 to go on an airship for just 30 minutes, or the $2900 some to pilot it for a day. Or would you just spend it on steampunk clothes? .... Or college stressed Has anyone here actually rode aboard an airship, not in their imagination? The info site

If I had that much, money, I think I would spend it at thrift stores first, haha. But if I had the chance to do that, I would definitely try. I'd probably take pictures of everything and probably spazz over it, though. *packs Valium*

In real life I'd spend it on college and budget for thrifting. But given the opportunity riding and airship would be just lovely.

I agree, it'd be fantastic. The prices for an hour in San Francisco are $495 a person though. That's ridiculous.

I am seriously contemplating building my own airship (if/when I get enough money) ~ 'tis one of the reasons I'm studying Engineering ~ but I would never charge that much for rides. D: Possibly, that's because I'm in it for the fun, not excessive amounts of profit.

Captain Amaranth I am seriously contemplating building my own airship (if/when I get enough money) ~ 'tis one of the reasons I'm studying Engineering ~ but I would never charge that much for rides. D: Possibly, that's because I'm in it for the fun, not excessive amounts of profit. i have spent the past half a year drawing up some plans for an airship of my own. its looks are inspired by one of the airships (the twin-pod one) from the inside cover artwork on the latest reprint of Mortal Engines. main differences on my designs are that the pods are closer together, and the propellors are closer to the hull... together captain, we can re-invigorate airship travel (and you know, have a race or three!)
