Hopefully *crosses fingers* Father Christmas will bring a PS3 on his sleigh this year, so wondered - what games would you recommend? (so I can save up bigtime and get a couple)
Already i'm thinking 'little big planet' and 'assassins creed 2' (not that I've played assains creed 1, mind you...it is on the ps3 right?) - any other ideas?
i'm mid-level gamer wise, so nothing too impossibly hard O.o

Well-I only have one PS3 game-been using to play old PS1 games like Final Fantasy 8 *drools over happy times*.....Sacred 2. It's pretty easy to get the hang of the combat system. My ReviewThere are other game on the guild's game review list too to check out.

What is your kind of Genre DT? ^_^ Since some games are on the 360 I can help recommend something too!
If you like RPG try out Tales of Vesperia. Eternal Sonata was fun too. If you like fighting try out Tekken. It has this campaign mode which is like a story mode where you choose a character and run through the lvl attacking enemies along the way to fight a boss at the end...so it's not only one on one fighting beat em up game. ^_^

I have a 360 and a Wii, so I don't have any PS3 exclusive suggestions.
It really depends on what kind of games you're into. Do you have any specific genres you enjoy?

I enjoy fighting in real-time rather than turn based rpgs. Semi-platforms I guess, like Kingdom Hearts was perfect. i like them to be semi-sandbox too, like Bully. I also love skater-style games and now you mention it I'd love to try out grand theft auto one time. i like 2 player type games too like novelty-racing and fighting

Judging by what you've said, you may enjoy: -Soul Calibur 4 (Fighting) -inFAMOUS or Prototype (Sandbox games) -God of War: Any of them (Hack and slash, so real time fighting, meets platforming) Sould Calibur 4 is the only game on the list that I've played for an extended amount of time. I also didn't include any repeats. A game I recommend that doesn't match your specifications that much is Fallout 3 It's fun, and you can explore the world, but I don't know your opinion on Shooters with RPG elements.

I'll be getting Dragon Age: Origins either for my birthday or Christmas. As soon as I've gotten into it I'll let you know my thoughts on it.
