I've got a question. o.O

I noticed this a while back, and again when writing my most recent post. The Eight Gates never really give a specific 'boost' degree. Like, is each gate a power multiplier that goes off the user's base levels, is it additive, what have you? And how much does each gate help?

The penalties for the higher ranked jutsu count is an increase in the word count, I think its a 25% word increase but I'm not sure. >.<
