ok. lets get this straight. jhonan hates this show and all its little kid friendly crap. we love it though, and thats fine. however, for you n00bs out there, you must know. jhonan has a much darker side.

if you have ever had the fortune to read his comics, you will know how morbid and disgusting this guy really is. I love him for that. if you absolutly must know what this is all about, i will say it. Johnny the Homicidal Maniac. look him up online, whatever. the cool part is, i found this, then after about one hour of looking through pictures, found that there were many similaritys between this comic and IZ. here are a few pictures from the comics. PG-13 because thats what it is and thats what Johnan likes.

JtHM kicks a**! I love how totally insane half of the story is, but then the other half is, uh... less insane. Yes. But Pepito and Chibi Satan are so cool! And I love Nailbunny, even if he is a floating head being tortured on a daily basis.

I completely and totally a gree. Jthm says alot about death, murder,suicide, and insanity. Then it adds a sort of a comic trate to it so the readers don't get completely depressed. It is brilient. twisted

why would you say that jhonen doesn't like Zim? In the commentaries he seems to love his creation for the most part. and JtHM isn't just psycho-talk. if you read it closely it does have a purpose. Jhonen just explains things in more brutal ways. Zim is a kids show, but don't judge jhonen as emo just 'cause he writes/draws in a more morbid style. the stuff he makes does have a purpose. i know you are just trying to inform the public. but you have no right to say that he hates the show. he wouldn't have created it if he wouldn't of liked it.

Yes I agree. Johnny's purpose is to be all our inner deamons and satisfy the little homicidal maniacs in all of us. In the director's cut version, there was a forward from Rob Schrab (whoever that may be). And it said many things about Johnny's purpose and how underneath all the insanity, there is a specific meaning to the whole story. Some importand quotes would include...
"Pain is a food. A food that is essential to the growth of one's soul"
"There is a little monster inside all of us, a little wolf-faced monkey that needs to be sataited. As people we musn't ignore that monster. If we do, we cheat ourselves. We deny and emotion, a feeling."
Then he gives a scenerio about a situation in which someone has wronged you, and you have done the deed of taking their life.
"As humans, we are taught to forget that we are animals. Animals kill to survive and that is natural for us. To deny nature is to deny life. Now that you've comitted murder in your dream world, relax. Take a deep breath, give your monster a high five and put him away. You have just used an evil fantasy to keep you civilized and sane."
"Johnny the Homicidal Maniac gives out monster something to chew on. Pain-food that wears it's teeth down. Johnny is a represents Jhonen Vasquez's monster. Vasquez and his fans are all stronger because of him"

Also, you have no right to define what Jhonen "hates" and what he really is. It isn't your place at all and you should know what you are talking about before you make your opinion seem truth 3nodding
