What do you play for Pep Band?
Any interesting stories about your music/performances?
My band plays:
-Hey Baby
-My Sharona
-NaNaNa BooBoo
-Grunt
-Woolie Bully
-Love Maker
-First Down/Fight Song
There is others but we don't really play them very much.
I really like our fight song. The flutes only play the first half of what is written because the notes are written wrong and no one has bothered to fix it. So, we all get to jump up on the seats of the stands and dance! It's really fun!

By play for pep band do you mean what the marching band plays in the stands? Or do you mean a pep band like for other sports? Because my school has the marching band and then a seperate pep band that has a lot more music that does the basketball and volleyball games.
For stands tunes we have:
~Amnesia
~Band Yell
~Dr. Who (The Hey Song)
~Born to Run
~Carmina Burana
~Bear Down 2001
~The Ocean
~Purple Haze
~Darth Vader
~The Lord of the Rings
~Pink Floyd
~Monkey Monkey
~Lady Madonna
~Sledgehammer
~You Can Ring Mike Bell
~Knight Rider
~Viva Las Vegas
~Fight songs (Bear Down Arizona, Fight Wildcats Fight, Short Bear Down)
And I think that those are all of our stands tunes.
Our pep band book...well....it's at least 8 times that amount of songs with a lot of them being our music from shows from previous years. (Led Zepplin, Radiohead, Smashing Pumpkins, Stevie Wonder, Danny Elfman, ect.) I don't think we have ever learned every song in that book by the end of the year.
Our original fight song (Fight Wildcats Fight) is rather interesting to play on the clarinet. We don't get much of the melody. It's mostly straight eigth notes up above the staff. But once you learn how to play it, it can be lots of fun...especially when the pep band director counts us off for twice as fast as usual. =D

My band doesn't have a separate pep band, just the marching band every football game in the stand. We have a lot of songs, but we only ever play:
-Hey Baby(And sing it too!)
-The Hey Song
-Eye of the Tiger
-Smoke on the Water
-Gimme Some Lovin'
-Free Ride
-Paint it Black
-Land of 1000 Dances
-Kung Fu Fighting
-Carry On My Wayward Son
-School Fight Song(A smaller and less cool version of Stars and Stripes Forever)
-Star Spangled Banner Limited Edition(Some "cool" version, though I like the normal better)
-A bunch of random stand cheers.

Aw.... hells.... My school is sooo lame, we don't have marching band pep or pipe band!!! Just concert, jazz, and random ensembles.... FML!!!!! Ooh but we have a local pipe band imma joining! gonk prac chanters are soo pricey!!! Woodwinds FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cause imma floutist also.....
