Timeline: 2 years after the Final Fantasy 7 Game. (Advent Children)

THE STORY SO FAR!

This story takes place during the events of ADVENT CHILDREN. Though the story portrayed in the movie is being roughly adhered to, Some Artistic License is allowed.

Midgar, the infamous capital of the Shinra Empire, now a fallen wreck after the defeat of Sephiroth. Many have tried to build new lives, and new homes in the aftermath of that terrible battle. But it seems that the Calamity was not completely beaten back. Many suffer from the disease of "Geostigma" a poisoning of JENOVA cells. Three Remnants have also appeared, clones of the Great and Terrible General Sephiroth. The trio seek to finish what their predecessor started... and so far, they are succeeding...

WHERE ARE WE NOW?

Yazoo, Loz and Kadaj have gathered the Orphaned Geostigma-inflicted children of Midgar, Kadaj, the oldest of the three converted the children into minions in an elaborate ceremony. Now the Remnants have gathered, all of those still loyal to JENOVA arrived in the Forgotten Forest. Ready and Eager to confront their traitorous "brother" Cloud Strife. But those plans were hindered, Vincent Valentine arrived to draw off the majority of the group. all but the Children and the Original Trio are giving chase to the red-cloaked man.

Elsewhere, Freyr is leading the great Machine 'Slayer 1' on a Merry Chase, having lost the Self-Aware exo-suit within one of Ghast's hidden labs, the Felitaur gleefully pronounced his escape, only to crash his prototype motorcycle in a nearby gully.

Vaizel is standing vigil in Midgar, determined to discover the truth behind the increased Remnant activities. Unaware that his quarries have since migrated elsewhere.

And this is where the story stands now!

Please enjoy and continue from this point regardless of previous posts and engagements. ... If I have neglected anyone please let me know.

The black chocobo trotted quickly down the streetes, dark in the shadows of the night with an even darker cloaked rider. Sabel was relying on speed, not stealth, to acheive her divine mission. She didn't understand why her superiors were so set against her idea. Her plan had been a brilliant one, guarunteed to strike a grievous blow against the enemy. Uncertain whether or not anyone had taken note of her passing she hurried on with more haste than she would normally take. it frustrated her to need to be so messy with her tasks, but she didn't have much time before someone caught wise to her goals. While worried to some extent by the threat posed by ShinRa sentries, she was greatly more firghtened by the though of one of her allies arriving to oppose her venture. They didn't understand the wisdom of her mission, but then, they hadn't been the ones to have gained Mother's Divine Calling. she had seen the Chosen One in her drems. It was Him who had formulated the plan, who had convinced her that this was the only way. And so she went out to carry out His biddings. She dismounted from Kuroi's glossy feathered back an alley away from her goal then leapt to the top of the building separating her from her goal. She paused for a moment to survey the scene then plunged down onto the two men standing guard at the door. They were dead before they could raise an alarm. The hooded shadow wiped her blade clean on her black robe and then sheathed the weapon.

Sofia followed Sabel, her eyes are wide, she had no idea that the girl was actually going to follow through with the plan. She walks up behind her, her bow-staff is not drawn and she just holds it watching. "So you really are going to follow through with this," her voice is soft and rather dark. "Yazoo isn't going to like this, he isn't going to like it at all." Her eyes are on the water. "This is not what Mother wants." She isn't going to stop Sabel from what she is doing, but she will oversee it to make sure that if she has to report to Yazoo there is something worth saying. Her eyes are down and on the water and looks rather tired. "Even if Yazoo is against this plan, he must understand that it is for the good of Mother."

"Indeed sister. The Chosen One Himself came to me and showed me this course of action. This is what Mother wishes, else I would never dare defy my siblings. I am glad you understand my course" With that, Sabel turned as walked out over the holding tank for the unfiltered water. While it was possible that Jenova's cells might survive the filtration system Sabel does not want to take the risk and heads past the filtration tanks and the enzyme additives which put trace amounts of minerals into the city's water supply((it's actually common practice, usually flouride and calcium are added into water, as well a chlorine for clenlieness)). She was searching for the outflow pipes and any possible breech area, even though she stood a great distance from her destination, still in the center of the catwalk.

Sofia watches with dulled gaze, her interest in this is purely as a third party person, she stands and watches, she doesn't want Yazoo angry with her. She looks at the water supply and simply just stares at it with wonder. "It is curious as to why Kadaj did not do this sooner," she whispers to herself, she wonders if the thought crossed Kadaj's mind. "If you can't get them with a choice, then get to them by force, right?" She is thinking out-loud and just smiles slightly.

Had anyone had good enough hearing to sense it, the sounds of clanking and rattling metal had echoed through the sky shortly before Sabel disapeared into the Municiple water supply, the sound was not unlike chains thrashing against a metal drum. Vaizel watched the ground below him with bored disinterest as his grotesque wings carried him ungracefully through the air. The feeling of thin metal rods and wires threading through his shoulders and pressing against the insides of his muscles with every wing beat always nauseated Vai, and for this reason he rarely focused on much when he flew using the hated limbs. This distraction proved to have several good and bad consequences on this particular occasion. For although he did indeed note the lone figure riding a chocobo far below him, he did not watch long enough to notice that same person slaughter two innocent gaurds before entering the Midgar Municipal water supply building. It wasn't until after he landed with a loud and grating crash on the metal/concrete surface of a nearby rooftop that he realized not all was right in the area. His gaze narrowed as he recognized the particular shade of red staining the ground beneath the fallen gaurds, as well as the lone chocobo which he quickly remembered...Vaizel's lips curled into a snarl as he leapt from the roof, landing almost exclusively with a resounding metal thunk on his mechanical leg. then he strode forward to where the Chocobo was tied. "thunk-crrrruunchhkk . . . tup . . . thunk-crrrruunchhkk . . . tup..." A breif thought passed through his head, a vague memory of someone who resembled the brown-haired girl whom he'd seen riding the Bird, but he viciously crushed the notion. and Turned away from the black-feathered beast in disgust and self-loathing, storming noisily instead into the building.

Looking up, Sofia hears a noise and draws her weapon, the bow-staff lengthens and the harpoon like tip is revealed, she looks at Sabel. "We have a guest, want to greet it? Or should we continue this mission of yours another time?" She looks around her and smiles ever so slightly at the shadows. "Yazoo would want us back in one piece."

Sabel glances back and listens to the uneven gait of Vai walking in. After a moment, mentlly measuring his speed and distance she smiles. "No chance of that, our guest is far too slow, I will be done before it reaches us if it continues at such a low speed." With that she turns back to her business searching among the many pipes.

OOC: xp Why aren't there any SHINRA opponants showing up?! You'd think that they would be watching for any movements by the Descendants, they know my character is a black chocobo-riding cloaked figure, if any of them were so much as passing her on a street they would want to investigate what it was she was up to going at sch a pace!! I want to have a fight before Vai shows up.

Sofia nods and brings the bow up and smiles. "Too slow, but I don't like people trying to interupt us." Her teal eyes are shinning and she goes into the shadows.

Saerenna
Saerenna was really just meandering on her way back to the place where she lived, when she spotted a large black chocobo some ways away. Well that wasn't something you saw every day, especially not in Midgar. Her curiousity overcame her, and she changed her course, heading for the chocobo. Before she could get to the alley, however, she noted two people on the ground of a neighboring building, blood pooling around them.

"What...?" she asked quietly. She looked up and noticed that this was the Water Supply building. What could be going on here?

Vaizel did not waste much time on entering the building. He simply twisted the handle and slammed one mechanically augmented shoulder into the door. The peice of metal flew creaking on it's hinges slamming into the wall and bouncing back. "thunk-crrrruunchhkk" only to halt against Vai's cyborg leg. He gazed around blinking in the dimness of the room, and noting the cool moisture in the air as it beaded on his metal limbs and clothing. "thunk-crrrruunchhkk . . . tup" He stepped further into the room with an odd hesitance, permitting the door to close of it's own accord behind him. The intense humidity in the room made it harder to get his bearings, and it caused his already leaden limbs to feel sluggish. His eyes narrowed as he peered about, nothing seemed particularly out of place, nothing seemed disturbed to Vai's psuedo-trained eye. The sounds of running water made it nearly impossible to discern other sounds or warnings. This detail only served to set Vaizel's nerves more on end than before. With a mental snort at his own skittishness Vaizel stormed foreward, determined to discover for himself whether or not there was something amiss in here. "thunk-crrrruunchhkk . . . tup . . . thunk-crrrruunchhkk . . . tup..." The sounds of his disjointed footsteps echoed eerily in the pipe-filled room, the water rebounded it even more to give it an extremely alien aspect. Vaizel suppresed a shudder, and snarled at the darkness.

Moving behind Vaizel, the harpoon end moving against his back, Sofia's eyes on him. "What do you want?" Her voice was quiet and she seemed ready to kill. "I found our guest, sister."

Saerenna
Saerenna watched Vaizel enter from a safe distance, and figured that something must be going on. Well, something more than the usual stuff in Midgar anyway. First Chocobos and now some cyborg? Yeah, definitely something worth investigating.

But going into something unpredictable alone was not what she had at the top of her to do list, so she pulled her cell phone out and dialed the number for the general Turks' voicemail, leaving a description of what she had found and requesting help or something. Then she shut her phone and examined the building with her eyes.

Sabel smiled grimly glancing at where the pipes lead into a back room behind heavy duty metal doors. To Sofia, Sabel responded with only a low toned mutter of "Do what you will." That didn't quite echo back across in the cadences of her normal voice due to the unique acoustics. She approached the electronic door panel and studied the kepad with a frown. After a few moments deliberation ignoring the others on the other side of the reservoir she scowled and drew her sword again. She wrapped a portion of her thick black cloak about the hilt of the kodachi and then plunged it nto the keyboard. Sparks flew and if the descendant hadn't used her cloak as insulation she likely would have been electrocuted. The sword was now streaked with black weld-like discolorations from the electrical heat. Sabel strode to the doors and put her abused blade to further stress, shoving it into the crack between the two metal doors and then levering them apart. Once she could fit through the crack she wriggled through. She had finally entered the room of direct flow to the city's water.

OOC: Hopefully the Turks will storm in through the back entrance, otherwise they might be too late twisted

Smiling Sofia holds the harpoon end against Vaizel and whispers. "What should I do? Along the back or across your neck? Yazoo never let's me kill." Her voice is very confident and giggles as she finally pushes right into Vaizel's back with the evil harpoon end and let's him fall down to the ground, she brings it back down again making the wound sting. Pulling out she walks away and starts to clean the weapon, she giggles a little and then retracts the end.

Walking behind Sabel, she whispers. "Its done. How far do you have to go?"

Vaizel became intensely still as he felt the harpoon move accross his back. He listened silently to her inquiries but noted her hostility. "I was about to ask you the same question..." He said gruffly, "Can you or this 'sister' you mentioned vouch for the dead gaurds outside?" Apparently this response was the wrong one, he felt the weapon, which he now assumed was sharp press harder against the metal plates and circuitry which covered the length of his back under his shirt, mimicing hte proper response he shifted until the blade slid partially between to plates still causing no damage, hoping the metal grating sound of her weapon against his mechanics had been hidden by the rushing water. Then he sank with a loud clatter to the floor. He listened silently barely breathing as his would-be murderer walked off, and he waited until she rejoined her freind trying to decipher what their mission could be.
