LOOKING FOR PLAYERS AGAIN.
CURRENT THEME OPTIONS (Feel free to suggest anything you don't see, but would want to try):
- General Sci-Fi (so the Star Wars fans can be jedi, Trekkies can be crew members of the enterprise, or whatever other mecha pilot or whatever you want)
Jedi vs Dark Jedi
Touhou ( I can suggest characters if you have an idea of what you want in terms of personality)
Star Trek (Preferrably not, I know nassing.)
Team Fortess 2 (Every role has an equivalent class, ie, Mafia are Spies.)
IN CASE YOU ARE UNFAMILIAR WITH THE GAME, OR IT'S FORUM INTERPRETATION, IT GOES LIKE THIS:
- You guys are role playing members of a town, or some other sort of community.
There is some number of Mafia/other-evil-character-type members. At night, the Mafia members decide together on someone to kill.
There are some townspeople/villagers/other-innocent-character-types.
There are some townspeople who have special abilities
- The "Good cop"/"Good Detective" can investigate a person of their choice, once a night.
The "Bad cop"/"Bad Detective" is the same as the good one, except gets incorrect results.
- The cops/detectives, whether good or bad, jus get told "You're a cop/Detective." at the start and nothing more.
The "Doctor"/"Bodyguard" picks a person to save/guard that night, and if that person is attacked by the mafia that night, they do not die. However, the Mafia members still go unseen.
The "Vigilante" can choose, once a game, to kill someone who they think is Mafia.
OTHER ROLES CAN EXIST, THESE ARE JUST A FEW.
There are Day and Night phases.
- Day phase - the village, together by vote, decide on who they think is mafia, and that person is killed at the end of the day phase.
Night Phase - this is when anyone with a role carries out their respective role. In forum mafia, you must send the leader a PRIVATE MESSAGE, be it an individual IM session on Skype, or a Gaia PM, or whatever, as long as only the leader and you see it (Unless you're mafia, then you must talk with the other mafia member as well).
The game ends when either all mafia members are dead, or it is mathematically impossible for the Town to win (example: When there are two innocents and two mafia members, as the mafia gang up on one person, and even if the vote ends up tied, and no one dies, they can then kill that night, making it two mafia on one innocent. You get the idea)
AND ONE MAJOR RULE. NO OUTSIDE DISCUSSION OF IT UNTIL IT'S OVER. This is to ensure the confidentiality of roles, thus keeping the game fair.
