I know it's not a video game but seeing as how there weren't any no one can complain. I just started playing it not too long ago. I wasn't too keen on it because of "eww uber nerdy cooties xp " but after I played a short trial thing with my friends...it was actually fun.

Have you played D&D? If so how was the experience?

I'm a little under 500 points away from leveling up. It's hilarious that my half-elf sorcerer is 3rd highest in exp points and I didn't even play for the boss in the practice dungeon because I passed out. rofl
It might've been for the best since I have virtually no health X_X
Although this one friend of my boyfriend's is a total douche and won't help us if we're near death. Since my bf is the DM he said next time he acts like a whiny a*****e he'll spring a surprise trap and kill him.

I can't wait to get my own dice set though. Mine are going to be the uber glow in the dark type 3nodding

Yeah squishies tend to have that drawback in the HP department. i recoment looking int AC bossting magic items and a few defensive spells. although once you start gettng 3rd level spell slots i have only one word: fireball. let me guess the douchebag is the party cleric.

My part is insane seriousl the samurai and the fighter both have enough AC that even in a 20th level campain they dont get his often, me i have at most 23 AC and when i get the rage going I drop to about 17, the good news is that the deficit is offset by gaining a strength score through the stratosphere and some temporary HP.

actually no, douchebag is Chaotic Evil Wizard even though we keep saying even though you're a chaotic evil wizard doesn't give right to be an a**. One of our other friends who'll be joining will be a cleric. Right now we have half-elf sorcerer, a wookie fighter (inside joke), a druid, a wizard, and a rogue. The druid was the one healing me with berries that only cure 1 hp. My person's total health is 4, I got attacked by a zombie that put me at -6. He was bitching and moaning about our suggestions and when they finally cleared the room and he found health potions but didn't give me any until they told him to.

For some reason, my character has a strength of 18. that's one point over the wookie and I have a feeling that can break game at one point. Once I get some more HP and learn more spells I might be a battle sorcerer or something. Of course I'm debating on whether to take up ranger as well so if I run out of magic I can still attack and be useful and not get knocked a** over tea-kettle.

dude, i'm typically a DM but when i get to play a character... xd

my favourite character i have is a Dark Elf Vampire sorcerer 3 / cleric 3 / mythic theurge 10 / barbarian 1 of Kiaransalee, with domains Retribution and Drow. he can cast a s**t load of spells of all angles (though he is no match in spell power against an equal level full-mage or full-cleric) but he prefers using his spells defensively. i got him Natural Spell so he can cast spells in Dire Wolf form, which save shis a** cause he can go Dire Wolf, cast Tenser's Transformation, Rage, and just go balistic! xd here, i'll post him for ya.

Alternate Form: a beastial creature nine feet tall that looks somewhat liek a cross between a draegloth and Beast from Beauty and the Beast. (use dire wolf stats to be fair. though if you will allow me, he can walk on his hind legs at 50ft speed and fight with his weapons in this form.)
Deity and Domains: Kiaransalee. Drow Domain, Retribution Domain.
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral.

Personality: Valthier is very gruff and introspective. He does not like to show his emotions, and keeps up a facade of calm collected coolness. In reality, he can barely control his temper, cries when alone, and generally avoids people. He is very aloof. He is extremely hedonistic, but not overly selfish, and he has refined tastes, being a picky eater and drinker. He enjoys red wine, the finest foods, insence, spa treatment, relaxing strolls in the twilit city of Union, and passionate moments of lust shared with others. He has a certain furious side, delighting in destruction, and bloodshed, torture and terror. It excites him so much. He is an open sadomasochist, and quite the charmer. He likes cats and bats and rats, snakes and lizards, spiders and scorpions, and any equine animal. He hates bugs, and has a secret phobia of them. One which sends him into shock, paralasis and even sometimes fits of screaming and flailing as he runs in fear. Although a sullen creature, Valthier almost always smiles. He is almost like a wild stallion himself in that he behaves in a manner as though he owns anyone around him unless that person has managed to get him to submit even once, in which case he submits to that person indefinately. He can hold a grudge for eons, but knows to be carefull not to act rashly. he is also a bloody coward.

Backround:Valthier was born to a Llothite Matron Mother in Ullorbath. He was albino, and very androgynous at young age. As he grew up he eventualy became more masculine-looking. His mother had him trained in sorcery, and put him in charge of of the House Guard, and sent him on spy missions. He spent his spare time exploring, researching, and experimenting. Into his 3rd or 4th decade he made a pet of a snake he found. it was his only true friend, and he loved it truely. one day the poor creature was discovered by his sister, who killed it just for the look on poor Val's face. around age 50-60, Valthier began to spend an awfull lot of time with a Drow Vampire. the man was a priest of Kiaransalee, and he told Val all about that goddess. Their relationship was a romantic one, and it was when Valthier was barely past age 70 that he was made a vampire. not long after, his Master was slain by Priestesses of Lloth. Valthier, filled with rage, and full of vengeance, orchestrated his entire house's downfall. he manipulated factions for 4 decades, faked his own death, and escaped in the aftermath to the underdark wilds. eventualy coming to a Faerzress-filled labrynth over a dwarven mine, where toxic waste from G-corp and radiation caused powerfull magicall anomylies, he began to settle. he slowly picked off dwarves until he could command an equal force, and overthrew the residents. he then built his mansion, and a portal that linked to all major cities in undergaia, as well as barton town, durem city, the woods just south of the Von Helson Manor, and Union City.

and honestly...I don't know how my character got to be so...f-ed up basically in stats. If I had more HP I would probably own since I have sleep spell and can put enemies to sleep then bash them with my quarterstaff

I've never played the game myself.
I've heard mixed things about, some one has told me that it's really satanic, but then others were like it's just a game...so forming my own opinion on the game has been tough...I have no clue what it's about, what it entails, the object of the game, etc.

there ealy are no rules. the DM pretty mch tosses you in whatever situation s/he wantsand you figurea way out based on the constrains of the character tha you are playing. personaly i play a barbarian who's idea of a gather informaton check is to rip the arms off of one guy and beat the information he desires out of the now armless man's companion. (and who said gather info was a cross class skill)

Though it's very expensive. One of the books is like $30 DX
My friend just got it online or something. It's really confusing though but once you understand a bit of it things roll along quite smoothly.
