Well, there's this song I'm in LOVE with right now called "Stairwell" by Julia Nunes, however ReinaDelCid did a cover, which is the link. I think it'd be really fun to do a song fic to, but I don't know who to do it for. To me it kinda sounds like something Keiko and maybe...I don't know Hiei? I don't support the couple, but just, I want to pick something interesting and just try it you know? But I want it to work at the same time. XD Maybe KuramaxBotan? Just 'cause of the "Push my hair aside" aw...crap that was bad. sweatdrop I mean, I COULD make it YusukexKeiko, but it'd be kinda sorta, boring, you know? I mean, yeah. Since they're canon it'd just be easy and be more of a cute fic than anything... If you guys can argue KuramaxHiei or KuramaxYusuke or something, feel free, just yeah, help me come up with ideas. ^^;

I think Yusuke and Keiko would be great...actually...and not boring if done right. There is nothing wrong with canon.
Yusuke X Keiko because of the part about goodbye..you know that long time they had where they were seperated...
It could be a Kuwabara Yukina thing too..Because of the goodbye thing again..she'll have to say goodbye eventually crying

Sorry, I realized I hadn't post the lyrics which might help. I don't know the exact, but this is my best interpretation by ear.

ShiorixKurama relationship was not something I had thought of but would definitely be an interesting approach. However...it's about a chick who attempts suicide to get noticed by someone (I believe, correct me if I'm wrong), and well, I can't see either of them attempting suicide. o--o;
YusukexKeiko...I like it. And it's a good song for them...but I don't know who's POV I'd do it from. I mean, some of the stuff is not very Keiko-ey, but the rest of it is...soooo... (Ex: "I could fall asleep right here, with my hands under my head....")
HieixKeiko...you didn't bring it up, but I think it'd be an interesting approach, so I'm bringing it to the limelight again. Consider it being a one-sided relationships with Keiko crushing on Hiei and well, yeah.
KuramaxHiei...I think they'd both be a little too prideful, and unless under dire circumstances, neither would do anything to commit suicide for the purpose of committing suicide. You know what I mean? Lol.
HieixMukuro...COULD work...but I don't know a lot about the couple or support them that much to be able to write them. So you'd have to do some major convincing. I don't really get the dynamics of their relationship. It's been too long.

That's a pretty good song. I think that one of the most important things about songfics are that you're inspired by the song in a way that isn't always technical--I mean, yeah, sometimes the lyrics fit a character awesomely, but it's more important that the song gives you the will to write a fic with it. Sometimes, the lyrics don't completely jibe with what you write, and that's okay--no one's going to yell at you for it.
For instance, the piano makes me think of rain, for some inexplicable reason. If I was writing the fic, a scene in the rain would definitely be included. The song also sounds a little jazzy to me, which immediately gets my "Kurama senses" tingling. XD At that point, I'd go with either Keiko or Botan (because Hiei doesn't seem to fit, and I can't really think of the song in a mother-son kinda way.)
Personally, I really don't get the whole "Kurama X Botan" thing, so I'd be super-compelled to write it up as Kurama X Keiko. (Which wasn't one of the original pairings you mentioned, but I thought I'd bring it up.)
To me, Mukuro and Hiei are so much more like partners and strong friends than lovers. I mean, it's not that I deny any romantic relationship there, it's just that it isn't typical or mushy like this seems to suggest.

Alright, I might just be a crazed fangirl, lol, but the reason I thought of KeikoxHiei was the chorus. "If you would pick me up I'd be obliged/Dust me off and push my hair aside." If this were to be KeikoxHiei it'd be Keiko's desperate for Hiei's attention but he never passes any her way so she begins to hurt herself or does and attempted suicide. Note this would take place most likely post-series or in some form of AU where Yusuke has run off again. "I've been having troubles living..."
KeikoxBotan...awww...that'd just be depressing! Q^Q
Hmm...now that I think of it, this would also be a pretty interesting KuramaxShizuru one. Shizuru does a subconscious attempt at suicide because she's so upset over Sakyo's death and Kurama is like "Oh noes!" And yeah... ^^;
InkMistress, I lack your tingling Kurama senses. Lol XD
