Origin

While the world of Poke’mon is filled with awe and mystery, it is the Northern most part that has seen the most action in war and battle.

The Dysae Region was once a utopia for humans and Poke’mon alike. It is said that a great and powerful Poke’mon began to reside there after its time around the world, creating the skies and earth itself.

Poke’mon and humans lived in such a perfect harmony, that they were able to speak fluently among one another. However, this peaceful bliss was not to last.

Humans began to expand in ways that made Poke’mon nervous and unsettled. The once thriving landscapes were being depleted of its resources and life. The Poke’mon were also being exploited in ways they had know understanding of.

Some humans resisted such changes and were able to still communicate with Poke’mon even after the God Poke’mon decreed no human could speak native Poke’mon tongue. These humans were so close to their Poke’mon, they began to take on the Poke’mons’ powers and abilities.
Psychics, martial artists, and even mages emerged.

The resistance only fueled those who had no such power to force these ‘mystics’ to teach the crafts to them. Soon the lines between friend and foe were blurred to such a degree that the Poke’mon could not tell the difference. Finally, the Poke’mon God left the world, distraught by its corruption.

It left 17 pieces of itself scattered to the winds, for those who may one day find them all and show him that the world has redeemed itself.

After so much time has past the world has not changed. Even some of the Poke’mon have been corrupted. Will you be one of the many to save the world, or take advantage of the raw power that can be yours?

Geography

The Dysae Region is a very unique area of the Poke’mon world. Geographically speaking, it is in the northern most part of the main continent, about where the great mountains end above the Kanto Region.

The region is known for being cold with a few exceptions. There is a vast forest that covers most of the area while the larger cities dot the coastline.

There are old Poke’mon temples that can be found in different locations. Each temple has special significance, however, only certain parties know their purposes.

Even though the region has no standing Poke’mon league, it does house tournaments and contests. Only 4 cities host these events: Citrine City, Garnet City, Opal Town, and Beryl Town.

Battles

Poke’mon battle are much different here than anywhere else. Due to the harsh climate and the unruly gangs, Trainers and Poke’mon enthusiasts have learned fight along side their Poke’mon as a means of both sport, and survival. While the traditional battle system is still there, it is not widely used. Here is the list of Battle types:

Battle-This is your basic Poke’mon and Poke’mon fight. Which ever trainer has no more Poke’mon to battle with is the loser and so on.

Contest-Contests are judged by 3 outside trainers/coordinators. Through a series of performances the judges determine who has the more stunning show and is appointed winner through votes.

Double Battle-Similar to the normal battle, a Double Battle incorporates two Poke’mon instead of one. Whomever has the remaining Poke’mon after the battle is considered the winner.

Poke'mon Brawl-The two trainers choose one or two Poke’mon each. One the battle begins, one of the Poke’mon and it’s trainer face off against their opponents. Poke’mon can attack trainers and vice versa. If both Poke’mon of a trainer are knocked out, the trainer is still able to battle. However, if the trainer is knocked out, there are no commands that the trainer can tell the Poke’mon, and thus he or she loses.

Poke'mon Battle Royal-4 trainers choose one Poke’mon from their teams. These Poke’mon and their trainers duke it out in a winner-take-all battle. Such as with a brawl, the Poke’mon can be knocked out while the trainer continues, but not the trainer. The trainers and Poke’mon may even team up against foes, making it a Poke’mon Double Brawl.

Trainer Duel-The trainers are the only ones who battle, no Poke’mon are aloud. Using what they know and what they can do with attacks, the trainers try and dominate one another.

Allegiances

Within the Dysae Region, gangs such as Team Rocket attack and even control certain towns and cities. There are a few saving graces as there is an anti-gang military as well as the Poke’mon Rangers. The swing allegiances are what make it hard to keep the crime down.

Trainer/Coordinator-This group is a neutral party of rogue Poke’mon enthusiasts. They do as they please, but generally do not cause over-the top trouble. Their ultimate goal is to become Poke’mon Masters.

Trainers and Coordinators are not limited to any Poke’mon types. They are allowed 6 Poke’mon that may be the same Poke’mon species, ((Ex: 2 Pidgey, 5 Machoke, est.)). They are able to trade or switch any Poke’mon they wish.
Trainer/Coordinator Classes:
Potential
Fighters
Ninja
Psychic
Mage
Breeder

Chromatic-These individuals are neutral and are known as legends in the Dysae Region. Some are praised while others are curse words. They veil their true identity by naming themselves a particular color. Chromatics are strong-willed, dominating, and make foes bend to their whim.

Chromatics are known for a balanced team of Poke’mon. No two Poke’mon can be the same type nor under the same species, ((Ex: Charmander and Magmar on the same team)). Chromatics remain with the same Poke’mon no matter what, meaning no trading, or switching.

Only 2 classes are restricted for a Chromatic.
Chromatic Classes:
Potential
Fighters
Ninja
Psychic
Mage

Ranger-Poke’mon Rangers are a unique group of members who call upon the assistance of wild Poke’mon to help with tasks. They have various bases located throughout the Dysae Region and help out the Blitz Force at times. That does not mean the Blitz Force doesn’t overstep their grounds.

Rangers must remain in one designated area unless instruct by their base. They are only able to carry Plusle or Minun in their team but they can capture temporarily just about any Poke’mon they come across. Due to their versatility of Rangers, they are only able to be two classes. They are at a stale mate in fighting ability against Mavericks, but as a Ninja, they must get a Steel Type to make their weapons and so on. No Ranger can trade Poke’mon, but are able to switch Plusle for Minun and vice versa.
Ranger Classes:
Fighters
Ninja

Blitz Force-The Blitz Force is a standing anti-gang that takes on the crime and other gangsters of the Dysae Region. They are known for being vigilantes, helping those who need it but taking the law into their own hands. Membership is to be kept secret, while a series of codes and passwords can determine one another’s affiliations with the Blitz Force. Force members view Trainers/Coordinators as potential threats while seeing Chromatics as just another gang member to take down. There are “underground” safe havens that members use to assist others.

Members of the Blitz Force hold no restrictions to what Poke’mon they use, however, the classes they may be are limited. Trading can only be done with other Members and switching is a write out.
Blitz Force Classes:
Fighters
Ninja
Psychic
Mage

Team Rocket-Team Rocket is notorious for plaguing the central Regions of both Johto and Kanto, Dysae is no exception. The operative of this gang are highly trained in combat. While it is unclear where the leader, Giovanni, is located, his cousin, Dominic, has taken the reigns. Dominic has appointed Executives to each city in Dysae to monitor any activity from enemies, obtain information, and find out secrets for ancient Poke’mon powers. Team Rocket affiliates itself with Team Maverick only for gain, or as a scapegoat.

Rockets are appointed 3 Poison or Dark Poke’mon automatically. Characters may make these 3 whatever they wish as long as the Poke’mon’s Type is either Dark, Poison, or both. The other 3 Poke’mon may be stolen, captured, or traded normally. Switching Poke’mon does not mean the Poke’mon they receive is the one they want.

A Rocket’s class choices are limited but not by much.
Rocket Classes:
Fighters
Ninja
Psychic
Mage

Team Maverick-These guys make natural disasters look docile. Mavericks are known for causing destruction in their wake. They hold no alliance, even to on another. Moving up in ranks is as easy as taking out the one above you. Crushing others under their might is what Maverick live for. The only ones who they will collaborate with are Rockets, and that isn’t often.

Mavericks can have whatever Poke’mon they find, steal, or capture. They must, however place all Poke’mon in their personal Poke’Balls known as Chaos Balls. These devices corrupt the Poke’mon inside so that they are just as twisted as their owner. In battles which have the Maverick fighting, if the Maverick member is knocked out, the Poke’mon can still fight, just going into a berserker rampage. The Poke’mon can never be traded nor switched, what you have is what you get.

Mavericks are drastically limited in their job class choices but make up for it with the simple brute force. Mavericks automatically get 4 times the power than any other Allegiance. This being said, Mavericks can overpower any other fighter around, with the exception of Rangers who are equal in power. In addition, Psychic Mavericks may have two 1st Tier powers and one 2nd Tier, with respect that the Tier points can still be moved however you wish.

Classes

Not matter if you are a Rocket, Trainer, Ranger, or what have you, you have a class. These classes help in different way be it in battle, healing, or just being able to survive.

Potential-Characters with this class have not yet awaken any powers that may be inside them. Potentials have one advantage being that once their abilities do emerge, the powers can be overly potent from the biding.

Fighter-Fighters are known for their brute strength and grand defense. Fighters paired with fighting Poke’mon in their teams can even take on heavy robotic machines. Fighters alone command such power to smash rock and rip through weaker metals. Their only weakness is dealing with Mages and Psychics.

Fighters are not allowed to have Bug type or Ghost type. Many take advantage of extra strength by padding their team with Fighting type Poke’mon.

Ninja-These characters are known for their deadly speed and resourcefulness. Each Ninja has a set of tools from which they can build weapons. Speed is makes them unable to be touched, they however are not as strong as others nor do they get much defense.

Ninja are able to create bladed weapons, climbing tools, and even smoke bombs.

It is required for Ninjas to have at least one Steel Type Poke’mon as so they can salvage the metal material. Smart Ninjas own a Fire type so they can temper the metal material they receive. It is also intelligent for Ninjas to carry fast Poke’mon, so the Poke’mon can keep up.

Psychic-Psychics are known around the world for being semi-enigmatic and a little detached from reality, the Dysae Region is no different. Psychics have an array of abilities:

Telekinesis- Moving objects with the mind
Teleporting- Transferring from one spot to another
Mind Reading- Reading the thoughts of others.
Mirage- Creates mind illusions around others.
Psy-Blades- Psionic blades that can cut most material.
Barrier- Shields person/people.
Blink Speed- Adds a short burst of energy to movements.
Precognition- See the future.
Clairvoyance- Sensing danger.

Psychic abilities are broken up into 3 tiers. They are allowed one 1st Tier and one 2nd Tier. If they choose, they can relinquish the 1st Tier Power for 2 additional 2nd Tier powers. They can do this with the 2nd Tier to get two 3rd Tier powers, or remove their 1st for three 3rd Tier. The max abilities one can have cannot exceed 4 however.
Ex:

1st Tier-
None

2nd Tier-
Mirage
Psy-Blades

3rd Tier-
Blink Speed
Teleport

1st Tier powers are elite and can to almost anything, 2nd being moderate, and 3rd being hard to pull off or not the powerful.

Mind Reading allows Psychics to relay messages and commands to Poke’mon through thought, giving them an edge in battle. At least one Poke’mon must be a Psychic Type.

Mage-Magicians, or Mages for short, are known for their radical spells that alter the very fabric of time. They are the only ones, save Professors, that are able to read old ruins. Even though spells require components, this doesn’t take away power from the Mage as their magic can trump a Psychic’s powers. Mages must obtain books in order to perform spells. The spells include:

Transformation-Turning people to Poke’mon.
Poke’mon Mimicry- Takes a Poke’mon attack and makes it a spell
Flight- Allows Caster to fly
Specter- Pass through solid objects.
Psy-Block- Inhibits Psychic powers.
Curse- Places a permanent inhibitor on someone using Poke’mon moves. Ex. Disable or Scary Face is now permanent.
Removal-Removes curses.
Elemental attacks- Hit’s a target with a concentrated Type Attack.

In order for a Mage to use spells, they must have either a Dark Type and a Ghost Type Poke’mon in the team. One Poke’mon cannot cover both types, it must be two. It doesn’t matter if they are Multi-Typed or not, as long as there is 1 Ghost and one Dark Type Poke’mon.

Breeder-Breeders are known for bringing new Poke’mon into the world by hatching eggs and mating other Poke’mon. They are masters of medical knowledge and even have the power to literally heal Poke’mon by using their own energy. The more energy expended to heal draws the Breeder closer to passing out.

Breeders must carry one of 3 Poke’mon: Blissey, Chansey, or Ditto. Flame Body and Magma Armor make for great abilities help hatch eggs. It isn’t required, but it helps to have them in the team.

Professor-A Professor is a retired character who does nothing but research, that doesn’t mean they aren’t dangerous in battle. Professors can have the experience and one of the other class’ abilities. They are able to read ancient ruins as well.

For abilities, as stated, they may have any ability that the other classes use. It is important to note that this only makes them a master of either a Mage Spell, a Psychic Ability, Healing, Forging one particular item, Or attacking with brute force.

Professors must have the last name of a tree. Ex: Prof. Oak, Prof. Elm, Prof. Rowan, est. . Professors are not able to travel what so ever, they must stay in the town or city that they may choose. They hale to no Allegiance either, therefore, gain no influence from them.

Professors may have whatever Poke’mon they so choose. They may not have 2 of the same species. However, unless they are different genders. Genderless means only one Poke’mon of that species. Evolution chains of the same Poke’mon are fine. Ex: Jigglypuff and Wigglytuff are acceptable.

*New*Alchemists-Alchemists have the ability to make potions that can have a variety of effects using simple herbal ingredients. How the potion works or what it does depends on the alchemist and ingredients.

Alchemists are required to have a pokemon from at least one of the following groups:
Grass-types: to supply herbal ingredients
Poison-types: to provide chemicals
Pokemon with pickup ability: to find ingredients easily
It it also advised that an alchemist has a Fire-type pokemon as well to help with boiling potions.

One notable potion that all alchemists have is used to combine several objects to make new ones, or repair items that have been broken, simply by pouring it onto what they are combining/repairing.

Alchemists carry around a book the has recipes for various potions and, periodically, what objects can be used to make other objects, such as magic jewels.

The alliances that alchemists can hold are with Trainers, Rangers, Blitz Force, Team Rocket, and Chromatic.
