Not that I don't want this, but I was wondering what works best for people?
I can blow my calories completely, like eating 2700-2800 calories (netting like, 2100-2300 for the day) and lose weight very successfully, however I can't lose weight if I'm not exercising for some reason, even if I rarely blow my calories.

I find I lose best when I am exercising like a maniac, and eating in the high range (1500+)
I lose a little if I just restrict, but generally it creeeps back on without the exercise.

I lost weight without any exercise. just changed my diet. :3
lost 20lbs.

i lost 15kg pretty much without needing to exercise (exercise just made it go faster xD ). But now that im down a bit closer to healthy its a lot harder, and absolutely impossible without plenty of really high intensity exercise

I lose more weight by just dieting alone, only because exercising makes me want to eat more.

I loose more weight by dieting but probably only because I have so much muscle mass. But exercize is too important to avoid.

I've never tried losing weight by dieting alone. That's no fun. I eat a million times healthier than the average American, but I still like to have treats pretty often. I've maintained my weight at around 170 for the past year or so, exercising only 1-2 times a week or less (I'm just starting to get back into it). Exercise, however, is fun, so that's how I've lost weight in the past.

I lost the most weight when I was living in NYC and walking a lot. Low impact combined with weight watchers was great. Nowadays I don't have places I go every day though so I'm having trouble getting myself to do this.

I combine dieting and exercise to lose weight. I cant do it on diet or exercise alone, so I do it together. I think it's important to have a healthy muscle mass, since muscle will also help you maintain and/or lose weight as well.

I also combine dieting and exercise to lose weight. I have tried to lose weight by just dieting and it didn't work. I jog/use my exercise bike at home and I changed how and what I eat.
