While I assume that the New Republic would rather utilize military resources in a more effective way against the DSA, I doubt that a jedi-trained squadron would necessarily have a true committment to it.

BUt I don't see how pilots would really speed up a search. Having strangers search for strangers just doesn't make a true connection for me. Its princess bride all over again.
