"Aytheria, a world now shrouded in darkness. It wasn't always this way though; it once was a planet teeming with life and benevolence. Great kingdoms controlled large masses of lands with peace and prosperity by simply understanding the need for one another. Of these kingdoms, Barthul held the most military strength with an army of unstoppable soldiers, as it is told. This army is most commonly known as the Phoenix Army. These soldiers wear a flash of blackened steel, their march felt beneath feet miles away. The soldiers themselves although, posed little threat when compared to the Five Phoenix Generals. Tyre, Raine, Livinicus, Seareh, and Whyte; the most fearsome group of warriors to ever meet in battle, carried the responsibility of keeping the kingdom of Barthul safe from harm’s way. The other kingdoms, Gyrth, Loy, Polrae, Moricalyn, Rastabre, and Ironas, knew little of Barthul’s hidden intentions of complete dominancy.
The attack was swift; defeat was inevitable for the other kingdoms. They fell like stones into a lake, their loss rippling throughout the land. Barthul, unable to keep up with the demands that the other kingdoms had previously filled before, began to let the rest of the world die off, uncaring to the cries of its newly acquired citizens.
Like the kingdoms, Barthul too did not expect an attack, as little resistances are popping up around the land, wanting its freedom, its prosperity, and its old ways. So… Are you with Barthul? Or are you against the greatest army known to man? You have the choice, to either let Aytheria be, or to change its course once again.” The man disappears, leaving you, only at the age of six to sit in wonder at the story spoken. The group of children all surprised by the man’s final trick, but only you was instead mesmerized by his last question.
You get up, returned to your shanty home to tell your family what had happened. They didn’t believe you, but you knew what you saw, and you decided to make the choice. You began training, so one day you will be part of the greatest army, or part of the resistance that fights against it.

Kingdoms
Each kingdom carried particular traits and tactics that may be beneficial for your character development, please choose the area that best suits your characters personality (although it does not have to be exact), as people are often influenced by their surroundings and teachings, people are not who they are because that's just how it happened (there is always influence).
Barthul - The 'military'. This kingdom owns and controls the strongest army ever known. It’s primarily inhabited by soldiers and necromancers. Their people are determined, strong, and care not for death. They find glory in battle; those with scars are praised as heroes and the ones who run are sentenced to death. Death serves them no ail, as they will fight beyond death when raised from the grave.
Gyrth – The ‘politicians’. This kingdom carried all the weight of peace keeping between the kingdoms. It had the most sages and elementalists than any other kingdom. The people were resolute, calm, and balanced. They searched for answers, knowing that knowledge is power, and believed peace to be obtainable. To face a Gyrthian, strength alone will not be enough.
Loy - The ‘seekers’. This kingdom discovered most of the known land in search of goods and treasures. Containing what others would believe scum such as thieves, pirates, or even the rare assassin, it played an important role in commerce. Those raised here are often resourceful, sly, and opportunistic. Bartering is their specialty, and can often get things at the most reasonable price… free. Never think you’ve defeated a Loyranian simply because they have fled, as it is likely they are running off with your wallet.
Polrae - The ‘gatherers’. This kingdom had the largest amount of resources compared to the other kingdoms. Most that lived in these lands were considered savages, as its people were often hunters or shamans. The children are taught to be respectful, considerate, and caring. Communing with the wild, gifted with extraordinary senses, and able to perform almost impossible feats, Polraens are a force to be reckoned with. It is impossible to find a Polraen, as they will always find you first.
Moricalyn - The ‘traditional’. This kingdom records and practices all arts considered lost to the land. This land carried citizens like samurai and monks, carrying traditions down from person to person. Teachings of honor, values, and tradition are established early. Festivals are held almost every two days to celebrate old traditions. Be careful of what you say to a Moricalynese, as you may be tarnishing their name.
Rastabre - The ‘technological’. This kingdom was the most technologically advanced when placed next to the others. Engineers and Cybers made up most of these advanced cities. These people are trained in being open-minded, limitless, and over-achieving. Their buildings compare to mountains, and the future within arm’s reach. Never tell a Rastabren that something is impossible, as you will more than likely find yourself wrong.
Ironas - The ‘religious’. This kingdom holds religion supreme and kept justice within arm’s reach at all times. Clerics and Crusaders made up the primary force of this kingdom, holding religious values. People living here believed in being lively, chivalrous, and helpful. Churches are on nearly every corner of this empire, religion preached every minute. To put down a Ironasian God is to sentence yourself to death.

Info
How is this survival? Because you will be fighting soldiers without a moments notice, as I will randomly post something that will indicate you that you are fighting... Unless you decide to start the fight with them, in which you will have prior notice to yourself.
Can we have romance? I discourage it for this kind of RP, but it happens all the time, so I really don't care as long as it stays within Gaia ToS and Guild Policy.
Can I GodMod? Against the shrimpy little soldiers, I don't mind too much, but do your best to be fair in general. If I catch you GodModding on other RPers I will send you a PM, letting you know that you did and why it is, as most don't do it intentionally. Repeated offenders (usually up to around five times, as I'm nice like that) will eventually be banned from my RP's. If I GodMod and it is the character I post with often, let me know and I will either edit, or even delete my post. WARNING! - I have a few characters that will probably do things that others would consider GodMod, but it is part of the story, so bear with it, no one will die in these events except people who are not controlled.
Are you sexy? Yes... Very.
I will add if needed

<---Io Terra---> xxxStanding in the middle of a small battalion of soldiers, Io found his breathing a bit staggered. He wasn't ashamed though, as he saw this small group heading towards the town he was residing. He was willing to do anything to help, even at the cost of his own life he supposed. Before his own little strike, the soldiers counted to around a hundred, they are down to a bit over fourty now. One would think that it would be easier, but it seems that the less there are, the more difficult the opposition. "Leave, and I will spare you suffering." This was an obvious bluff, as he is in no condition to be making any real threats.
xxxOne of the soldiers threw a spear at him, Io quickly lifted a hand, forcing a small chunk of earth to take it for him. The others rushed at him, drawing their blades. Making a quick twirl, flames spreading from his cloak, engulfing only two of the men. Their screams idle to him as he focused back onto the others. "Yi-feh-roh!" He shouted, lifting a palm in the dirction of three of the others. A scythe like beam fired out of his hand, cutting them down. A small blade cut him from behind, only deep enough to lacerate the skin of his back, he stomped on the ground, forcing a dome of earth to surround him. He also trapped two other unfortunate soldiers as he sent a shockwave of razor sharp wind to the walls of his current sanctuary. "I can't keep this up forever, they're getting closer everytime." Io muttered to himself, trying to get a look at his back.

} { T a l i b a h Z a h u r } { Talibah sighed to herself, looking to the sky to track the hawk that had been shadowing her movements for the past nearly half-mile with almond-shaped sepia eyes. The day had been utterly quiet and uneventful... a really boring time, if she did say so herself. The young sage reached up a hand to adjust the silver-sea coloured scarf that was draped haphazardly about her head and shoulders, looping it once more aroound her cranium before nodding, satisfied. Dressing in strange manners was her greatest joy in life- as was collecting bobbles. And finding unorthodox answers for things. Well... many things were her greatest joy in life. Some would call her indecisive; Talibah looked at it as having many joys in her life. A black belt streached from her one red sleeve (which hung off her shoulder, the wide piece of fabric ending to her mid-forearm) and disappeared amid the layers of her scarves.
The round-faced young woman frowned smally to herself as a strange tickling began its way through her throat and just behind her collar bone. Great... it was that time of the month again. She opened her mouth a little, thinking, and decided to direct her words at the hawk following overhead. "Farewell..." Her words died off, becoming fainter at the end of the word. As the tingling tickle faded, the girl knew the deed was done; she would be able to force no sound from her throat for a full week. Just then, being pulled out of her thoughts soundly, the makings of some great battle made themselves quite aparent to her; and quite close, too. Excitement stirred up inside the girl at the thought, and Talibah hurried her steps. What she saw stunned her momentarily; A man, guarded by earth, was single-handedly taking on a batallion of soldiers.
She had never had too much training in fighting; and in truth, it had never interested her much. But Mother had taught her enough to survive and protect herself, and passing travelers had also shared their knowledge with the rather charismatic girl, and she was eager to attempt to put some of it to use. She giggled to herself in her mind and started forward in a roundabout way, so as to not be seen immeadiately. The top of her walking stick lost its interestingly-shaped cover, revealing a pointed triangle of a blade; it soon found a purchase through a shoulder. With a smile Talibah continued forward from opponent to opponent, fighting the best she could. For some reason they aparently weren't catching on that she was there, coming up behind them... perhaps they were stunned by the fact that a girl was fighting. Who knew. Her smile grew as they finally caught on and began to actually fight. At that moment, the man with the earth-shield had left her mind.

<---Io Terra---> xxxIo had just placed a temporary bandage on his back when he noticed a commotion outside of his dome. Pulling out his pen, he decided that it would be best to take a look before he would just drop his defenses, and drew an inscription on the wall closest to the noise made outside. Afterwords, he placed his hand on the same area and closed his eyes to see that there was a girl outside taking down some of the battalion. "Whoever she is, she doesn't look like one of their allies." Being hesistant at first as to whether he should help her or not, as he still wasn't sure of her intentions, he had decided that helping her would be better than helping them.
xxxThe dome of earth started to turn into sand, allowing all the soldiers to see him once more, some of them still confused with this new attacker, others confident in their position. Io blew the sand outward from his feet as pressed one of them sharply into the ground, spreading it across their current field of battle. One of the soldiers resonse was quick, as he was already rushing at him. Io twitched one of his fingers, the sand in front of the soldier shifting just a bit, forming into what looked like some sort of seal.
xxxThe soldier had no time to respond when he stepped his foot into the seal on the ground, quickly being engulfed in a black flame. It only flared up for a moment, but left little more than ash after it was over. Io observed his surroundings once more. The girl was doing quite well, as there were only a handful of guards left, most of them seeming ill experienced. What concerned Io the most was the fact that there was no necromancer in sight. Barthul's strategy was famous for having soldiers die and come back from the dead to fight again, yet no one fit the description of a necromancer in this group. None the less, he began to form the sand into seals here and there, practically turning the area into a mine field. If they make one false step, they would most certainly die a most gruesome death, if they stayed where they were, they would be cut down by this new assailant. It wast starting to look up.

} { T a l i b a h Z a h u r } { Talibah paused in what she was doing to observe the man with his dome of earth; rather, observe the dome of earth for a moment, bringing her spear up to block an attack and run another through in the process. Her soft smile grew a little, and the elf turned back to her work, bringing another two to meet the ground in the following moments with ease. Strange... unless this man had already taken them out, their arrangement seemed to be that of strongest in the front, and weaker in the back, rather than the other way around. Curiously she noticed one such seal on the ground and cocked her head slightly, wondering just what it was that it might do.
Deciding to test her theory, she made what appeared to be a stumble and fell back two steps, leaving herself open. The soldier that she had been fighting grinned and started forward, thinking he had finally caught a break. Talibah cocked her head to the side a little more when his foot touched the seal, the method interesting her. So, then, this man was helping her as she was helping him... a most strange and unanticipated turn of events. Having an idea from a traveler she had recently met, the woman made another thrust at a soldier, holding the spear differently rather than in a tight fist- somewhat how one would extend a baton to another, gracefully. Thumb on top, pinky and ring finger curled under and around, middle and pointer nearly extended as they wrapped around. She twist it with a flick of ther wrist at the last moment, delighted with how effective this new method was.

<---Io Terra---> xxxObserving this woman's new change in combat style, Io was amazed about the similarities between her spear movements and those of fencing. It seemed swifter and much more graceful. Looking around once more, he noticed that there were only a small handful of soldiers now, most of which baffled and confused as to what exactly was happening. The only soldier still confident was trying to bring the ranks back together. "He's a keeper..." He thought, figuring he'd want one alive so he can gather some information.
xxxKneeling onto the ground, Io swirled the sand underneath him, forming a new seal. The soldiers were still trying to guard themselves from the other attacker, otherwise he would never have time to beable to effectivly cast this spell. Raising on hand high into the air before crushing his palm into formed seal, "Iviartha!" His voice high, as a thin line quickly shot out towards the only well spirited soldier, shooting chains from the ground, gripping his wrists and throat. The chains pulled sharply, bringing the man to his knees with his arms spread outwards.
xxxWith all their remaining morale crushed, the other soldiers fell like dominoes. Looking at the person who had helped him, Io smiled, "Thanks, I needed that." He offered a hand in her direction, "Io Terra, travelling Sage." His introduction almost sounded redundant, it was how he always introduced himself, but never carried any true excitement.

} { T a l i b a h Z a h u r } { The woman observed the fallen soldier with interest as he was chained from the ground, thinking that this was the person residing within the earth dome’s doing; she really must find out what it was that he was doing at one point or another. A smile lit up her round face, causing the edges of her chocolate-colored, almond-shaped eyes to crinkle up a bit as she heard a0 man introducing himself; this must have been the person in the ball of earth. Talibah nodded energetically and fished around her bag of random stuffs- that is, a sidebag-like contraption of medium size that was fastened closed with a pin of wood. It held just what its name suggested; random stuffs. Nothing too heavy or too big, merely interesting or vital things the girl came across in her travels and wished to take with her.
A stray wind knocked around a feather near her ear, the object itself seeming to be held in place by an invisible force. It was actually a feather she had found recently, holding four stark yet seamlessly blended shades of blue, strung through her ear with a bit of string. From the bag she produced a bit of paper with her name inscribed upon it in scratchy letters- Talibah Zahur. The sage held it out to Io with one hand and held out her other to shake his hand, hoping that he could read. Once this was done, she pointed from Io to herself, trying to come up with gestures to demonstrate that they were the same; that she, too, were a traveling sage.
Ah, no worries <3 I do believe you are going to get me back into the habit of writing several lengthy paragraphs for each post, as well ^^

<---Io Terra---> xxxObserving all the nonsense that this girl was digging through, Io was almost consfused as to why his hand just sat there. When she pulled out a paper with an inscription on it, he began to realize that this girl wasn't speaking. "Mute perhaps?" He questioned himself. Formulating everything she has said and gestured, Io figured that this girl's name is Talibah, and that she too is at least a traveller. He didn't want to jump to too many conclusions, not yet. "Nice to meet you Talibah, maybe we can speak of our travels so-" Being cut off from the man in chains.
xxx"Aren't you two going to do something to me!?" This man shouted loudly, fury in his voice. It was obvious that the man was irritated, it was also obvious he wasn't going to tell them anything willingly. Io calmly lifted a finger towards Talibah, indicating towards her to give him a moment. The guy was right, Io should do something before any reinforcements arrive. "Sure thing, kind si-" Once again interrupted, "Don't you give me that crap! I know why you kept me alive, and I ain't tellin' you nuthin'" The man had a thick accent, that or a small intellect. "You won't have to tell me anything at all." Io responded. The man's face became that of confusion.
xxxPulling out his pen, Io walked up to the man, who was now beginning to truly struggle. The chains wouldn't move though, as the man soon figured out, not even a singly link folded. Inscribing a symbol on the man's sweating forehead. "What are you-" This time Io interrupting, "Don't worry, it will be painless... I think." He never really knew if this spell hurt the person, as he would never try it on himself. Pulling out a thin book from his own pouch with his right hand, exchanging the pen for it, Io placed his left hand on the seal on the man's head. His hand slowly began to sink into the skull, the man's eyes rolling towards the inside of his head, mouth gapping, he was already dead. Pulling out his left hand, Io was holding some sort of blue, with a splash of white, orb. Flipping the book open to an empty page, he placed the orb on a blank page, and the book began to fill itself with words. All of the man's memories, even the ones he didn't know he had, was now written in this book in chronological order.
xxxSighing, Io stood back up, snapping the book shut. "Much better," although he did feel a little sad for having to resort to such a spell. "Anyways, we should leave before more come." He once again smiled with a large grin, "Once we settle somewhere, maybe we can discuss our travels?" This would also be a good time to observe body language, as most speak through their lips, and not through their actions.
((Much better biggrin ))

} { T a l i b a h Z a h u r } { The woman tilted her mute head to the side for a moment as he held up a finger, wondering what it was he was going to do. She took a moment to note a few details about the man, committing them to memory to compare to others when she encountered them. This lone man who seemed able to be a rallying point for the other, weaker soldiers, was he present in every attack, or was he unique to this batallion? If he were unique, then how did the others stay together? Why did they stay together to begin with? Surely so many people had many conflicting ideas and morals. How was it that they were able to stay together in a somewhat uniform group, if they were individuals?
The blue-haired sage tilted her head even further as she observed the symbol that Io inscribed upon the stubborn survivor's head, amazed at the little blue and white ball that he produced from inside his head. Unconciously hands raised themselves to rest on either side of her head for a moment, wondering if something such as that ball resided within her own head, as well. There was another question. Were these visually pleasing balls the things that kept the fighters together and fighting for their cause? Could they rally for the opposing force were they removed? It did not seem so, because this man appeared to have died... Oh well. He would have likely died, anyways. A man left alive was a man left to kill you later, preped with information on your fighting style and possibly your points of weakness.
The ball disappearing into the book escaped her. What in the world was the point of that? She face-palmed herself; of course, he could likely read. Teacher had not been privleged to have enough time to teach her how to read and write beyond a few names and basic words. Surprising her, the tawny-colored hawk that had followed her earlier alighted suddenly on her shoulder, ruffling its feathers. A large, golden-colored eye watched her from the side of its head, picking up either foot alternately as it settled on top the layers of cloth. Talibah smiled at it as Io spoke to her once again, turning her easily-distracted attention to him, for the time being. The young woman nodded her head energetically, her smile widening to a joyed grin at the thought. Over her travels, with this inconvenience of her disappearing voice, she had become rather proficient in signing whatever it was she wanted to say.
Ah, I feel almost bad leaving you with this... I am not in the habit of writing many paragraphs... I do hope to get better soon >.<

<---Io Terra---> xxxThe area they were walking through seemed desolate, just hard dirt, a hill here and there, and little flora. Even though Io had a companion now, he could help but feel a bit lonely in comparison to the land. There was a town in the opposite direction, but he figured it was time to move on, staying in one place too long had never done much for anyone. There were tall peaks off to their left, off in the distance, the Jyhtian mountains. Their peaks were lightly colored with soft snow, making them glisten during sundown. Dark clouds were moving over the moutains, foresighting the upcoming storm.
xxxTrying not to be rude and stare, Io carefully looked over at Talibah when it seemed she was not paying attention many times. He was noting certain features in her appearance and attitude, taking down mental notes as he did. Her clothes were layered, hair long, but what fascinated him the most was her scarf. He liked how it flared in the small occasional breeze, carrying itself flawlessly. Her attitude also intrigued Io's curiosity. It seemed that Talibah was very cheerful, and not mention sporadic. Earlier actions indicated that she was easily entertained, open-minded, and energetic. It reminded him of his homeland, yet her attire betrayed those actions, not to mention her style in general. It made him want to inquire her about her homeland.
xxxAfter what seemed like hours, the two travellers finally arrived at Io's destination. The cave was implanted on the side of a large rock covered under a large hardened hill. "We're here." Io smiled, taking a lead up towards the cave. He turned on his heel quickly and proclaimed his success with open arms and a large smile. "Traveller's Cave! Now we can finally discuss what we have learned." This is what excited him the most, yet he calmed himself for a moment, regaining his posture. Snapping his fingers, a small, bright flame erupted from the index finger. Leading the way into the cave, the walls of the entrance wide and carefully crafted. The deepest part of the cave was semi-spherical, with two large benches on either side of it. Io threw his flame into the center of the large open space, brightening the entire area for the two. "Would you like to start?" He asked Talibah, taking a seat and placing out and open palm to the other bench, indicating her to take a seat. He then quickly withdrew it, as he just remembered she couldn't speak her story, but instead had to act it out.
