Maki Casanova Rachetgirl11 My brother is an expert roleplayer, having roleplayed pretty much anything. When I asked him about why he was doing a Yuri roleplay, he responded with this: "To me, Yuri roleplays are what sepearte the gentlemen from the dogs. Styles of roleplay become glaringly obvious depending on how quick the roleplayer tries to move the story along. A dog will try to skip to the sex part, with an anime image thrown in for good measure. A gentlemen in a Yuri roleplay would take a little time to develop the character, let the plot move at the plot's own pace. It's like cooking a steak: Start eating the moment it's cooked, and you get burned badly. Those that take time to let the steak rest, let flavors develop, are rewarded for their patience with an excellent meal." Does that make any sense to anyone here? My brother's kinda cryptic with these things... An excellent representation, if I may say so myself. biggrin Congratulate your brother for me. ~<3
Thanks. My brother's a genius...no really, he took the SATs...and came within 36 points of passing...when he was in 6th grade I kid you not.

OniYouji Yikes....I guess RPing with Maki Casanova would be walking in a minefield. Not saying that I would go straight to "you-know-what", but...eh...I do it all the time. I mean, one of the RPs I am most proud of story-wise is this. It's my favorite RP subgenre, but not for the drooling boy reasons. Plus, I thought that this guild was supposed to be getting better at the whole "not discriminating against male yuri fans" aspect. I almost feel like a target here.Ah well. If you want to judge for yourself, ask me and I will provide you some samples of character profiles/RPs.
*sigh* Why gawd, why? gonk Lol. Just kiddin'.
sweatdrop I'm afraid you've misunderstood. I'm just speaking for those girls who do not want to role play with guys possibly because of those reasons that I have stated in my previous posts. That's what I think they're thinking.
And to be honest, I'm pretty much just like everyone else. I would consider role playing with a guy, just as long as he understands exactly what Yuri is; for its sweet, heart warming (and sometimes smutty razz ) romance stories, and not for the revolting portrayal of lesbian porn as seen in most hentai.

Whaddya mean, "revolting"? scream This be a YURI guild, correct?
Again, kidding. Well, if you want, I guess we can think something up. I've never been the kind to barge in. If you have any ideas, don't be afraid to run them by me. ^^

Rachetgirl11 yeahime Maki Casanova I wonder how people become geniuses? Holding a love of learning and thinking. Actually, my brother says everyone has there own form of genius, meaning everyone has there own effective way of doing something. Some people prefer to act, some people prefer to research before acting. My brother says that the school system is archaic(really ancient) because the system only recognizes the best "Fact Finders" as genius, and labels everyone else as "dumb", or they get diagnosed as having ADD, and get drugged so they stay in there seats during class. Okay, getting off topic here...I just wanted to say that.
I didn't read this thread before, but I had to say, damn, he really does sound like a genius just from what you've said about him in this thread. (It's not that the school is archaic though, the Socratic method is really old too, and it's great. It's that they aren't teaching people to be intelligent, they are teaching them to be good worker drones. You must go where you are supposed to go when the bell rings, you must do your work on time, you must do as you are told, you must not chew gum, you must think what we tell you to think, you must say what we tell you to say and do only what we tell you to do...)
On topic, I'll rp with anyone, if I don't like their style I'll eventually just give up. Well I would try to give them constructive criticism first. I think there are girls who are dogs too, just fewer than boys, but they are out there.
