Notable Personality Quirks: While Dr. Moreau uses an upperclass Kensington Gardens accent in her everyday speech, she occasionally slips into a Whitechapel Cockney accent, often merely for shock value or when she's feeling especially obnoxious. She also has a habit of occasionally ending a sentence with a feline "nyao", and periodically rolls her "r"s in such a fashion as to sound like a catlike purr. She has also been known to purr when touched in an intimate fashion, has been distracted by rodents and balls of yarn, and occasionally exhibits peculiar mannerisms of a most feline manner. She is said to prefer the feminine gender for intimate companionship, although she neither confirms nor denies rumors of her attraction to beautiful women, and has on several occasions been seen flirting with ladies, often doing so in her atrocious (and most un-ladylike) Whitechapel accent.
Known History: Dr. Moreau's entrance to society occurred roughly a year and a half ago with a series of scientific lectures accompanied by the most unusual specimens of exotic animals previously unknown on Gaia, as well as a variety of technological curiosities and peculiar mineral samples. While rampant speculation abounds on her history prior to her arrival in the civilized regions of Gaia, complete with an airship of admittedly unusual design, she has made reference to having been born to an ordinary housecat several years ago and having been augmented by her "father", one Professor Moreau, of which only the wildest tales have been told by her, most notably that she was the "creation of powerful magic", allegedly having been born a normal kitten that was subsequently transformed by methods unknown into the feline lady she is today. All attempts to verify her tales have as yet ended in failure.
Appearance: Dr. Moreau is possessed of a rather striking appearance, having long straight hair which has alternately been flame-red, dark auburn, or the brown depicted above at different times. Atop her head are two coal-black cat ears covered in long fur (much like a domestic longhaired cat's fur), and a yard-long cat's tail extending from her behind. Her eyes are a striking emerald green, complete with vertically slitted pupils, and she has been noted to possess exceptional night vision. In the image above, she is shown in her favorite casual lounging outfit, but when travelling abroad, she tends to favor trousers of a slightly masculine style (yet in a most feminine cut), silk poet's shirts, a stylish leather or velvet vest, a black top hat, sturdy boots, fingerless gloves (usually of leather), and a slightly weather-worn black duster. When working in her laboratory, she often wears denim trousers, a comfortable men's shirt of cotton or wool, and a white lab coat and goggles when working with hazardous chemicals.
Personality: Dr. Moreau is often polite, friendly, and somewhat outgoing, possessed of a pleasant and cheerful disposition. While periodically flirtatious toward attractive members of the fairer sex, she makes a point of letting others know that she has never forced her attentions on anyone who did not desire them, and is known to be very respectful of others' feelings, even going so far as to play a diplomatic role when faced with a tense situation. When in her "Cockney Guttersnipe"role, she enjoys playing the brazen strumpet, but when those around her become disconcerted by her actions, she laughs, then rapidly reverts to her upper-class manners and accent, even apologizing should she perceive her comments or actions to have given offense. She is a caring friend and generally compassionate soul, slow to anger and frequently quick to forgive, but when her temper is aroused, her feline mannerisms become more pronounced and she even seems to become somewhat feral in her actions and body language.
Notable traits: Dr. Moreau is rumored to possess retractile claws similar to those of a housecat (albeit proportionally larger and razor-sharp) underneath her fingernails, and her exceptional night vision and keen hearing are a matter of record. She is even reputed to be able to hear sounds outside of normal hearing range, such as dog whistles. She is exceedingly agile and graceful, and her reflexes are rumored to verge on the superhuman (a fact which she is quick to downplay when asked about).
