Um yeah. I've been feeling like there's something wrong for a long time with the way I've been living, and after doing a bit of research, I think I figured it out. I think I'm bigendered. Unfortunately, after coming up with that (slightly less than earthshattering) discovery, I'm at a loss. I mean, I don't think that there's really anyone I can talk to about this. I have no friends (other than one or two people I party with, but I wouldn't call them friends), I can't tell my family, and I'm not sure how to tell my boyfriend. I'm feeling more than a little lost right now.
For as long as I can remember, the whole boy/girl thing has confused me. I'll put on nail polish one day, and the next scrape it all off and chew my nails because they're too ******** feminine, and other stuff like that. It's weird, one day I'll feel like a total girly-girl, the next I would cut off my right leg if it would give me a y chromosome, and somedays I'm not sure what I am. I have no idea who I can talk to, I'm really shy and find it impossible to open up to people in person. I mean,it took me half a bottle of whiskey to tell my boyfriend that I'm bisexual, how the ******** am I supposed to tell him this? ...Although, he already knows I crossdress from time to time...
Anyways, any help, advice, anything would be great right now. I'm not even sure what I'm asking for. I did try to ask in other places, but no one seems to understand what bigendered means (one person asked if I was a hermaphrodite).
Thanks.

That does sound pretty confusing. I'm really sorry you're having trouble like this. I don't really know how to help .-. Therefore this may just be a pretty meaningless post, but whatever happens, I wish you all the best 3nodding

Don't feel bad. I don't like the whole gender thing personally. I mean biology be damned... I mean look at vegetarians... they have canine teeth but they don't use them... no offence to veggies.. a lot of my friends are. Anyways... don't feel bad.
I used to feel the pressure to be butch or femme but I'm neither. I like dressing like a guy, wearing super baggy hot topic pants... but then again I like corsets and bras and I gush over my swoooshy belly dance skirt...On super formal occasions like... prom... I wanna wear a nice dress.. .then other days I think I wanna wear a tux... but I'm neither butch nor femme.
Anyways, just go with the flow, do what you feel like, gender is fluid. Wear dresses or skirts one day, wear pants another. Wear makeup one day, don't another. Do what you feel like.
I have a friend who refuses to pick male or female on state tests even though she identifies as female she just thinks it's stupid. (Psst, she shaved her head and it's REALLY fun to rub.)
I hope something I said helps!

I'm not exactly sure what it feels like to be in this type of situation.
But, it sounds quite confusing. And, I apologize for not really being able to help.
In any event, I hope everything turns out alright. ^_^

well, I did not know what "bigendered" ment at first, ( sweatdrop ) but google soon sorted that! 3nodding Page found by Google! ^^ Bi-genderSome gender variant people reject the choices of male/female, man/woman and feel their gender encompasses "both" genders. Some feel that they are androgynous, simultaneously exhibiting masculine and feminine traits, and others feel they are neutral, or without gender. This steps outside of a "changing sex" paradigm and allows for more flexibility of gender expression and identity. Bigendered people often identify as being of both genders. Transsexual people do not commonly consider themselves to be bigendered. Within some American Indians cultures expressing both genders is referred to as "Two-Spirited." Within contemporary urban life bigendered people often refer to themselves as "gender queers," "gender benders," "third sex" and "gender perverts" as terms of pride. heh, "gender pervert" Heh, sorry.... sweatdrop Well how did your boyfriend take the fact that you were bi? And how does when your feeling more "man-like"? Also what does he think about things like transexuals and bigendered people? just try to bring it up in conversasion? It might help to see how he'd recact to you telling him? And dun't worry hun! *hugs* Trust us, well mabey not khoki he's a perv - for that matter so am I.. eek anyway, it's much better to be confused and know what you are, than to be confused and not. 3nodding (I think gonk )

Hmmm... It would seem like you're two spirited, but that's one man's opinion. I'm not the most knowledgible on the subject though.

You aren't neccesarily trans but that's fine cuz you shouldn't have to pick which gender you have to stay. Just be however you want whenever you want and you'll be fine. Lots of people, including myelf, feel the same way 3nodding .Now worries!

I suffer from the exact same thing. One day I want to curl my hair and wear makeup, the next day I punish myself for falling into such feminine steroetypes by wearing butch clothing and acting as disgusting as possible. I think it's normal for bi or homosexual girls. Anyway, another example of this is back four years ago I wanted to cut my hair really short but whenever I was ready to do it, my feminine side would kick in and not let me. As a result, I have still not given my hair the big chop. It is comforting for me to know there are others in my position. 3nodding

I'm having this odd butch/femme thing going on right now. I love wearing dresses and I love wearing tuxes. XD Right now I don't know which I want to wear at my wedding. I only wear a skirt for dance but now I'm getting harem pants. My friend says I'm turning butch. But I'm not! I love shiny and fluffy and soft things! I cut my hair like... big time though. I'm keeping it pretty short. I don't have the guts to shave it like my friend did. And I have a love obsession with eyeliner and wetshine lipstick and black nail polish but most other makeup disgusts me... and I'm allergic to it XD.
Actually this summer I wore a dress because it was so hot out. I gave my neighbor a heart attack.

You shouldn't worry so much about labeling yourslef anyway. Gender barely exists anyway. So few people actually have the basic xx or xy that we might as well not lable ourselves at all. Be comfortable. Stay storng. Sorry for not replying until now.

I have the same problem, but I feel more male than female. Eh. I identify as an adrogyne fem boy in a girls body. The only thing that helped me was combining both of these traits and not identifying as fully one or the other. It is less stressful, but it is not a permant soulution to my situation..
