[FIN] You Might Be Gorgeous But.... (Runya x Helios)

Helios was looking for Runya, he hadn't seen her in so long and well he had to beat her again. Prove that he was better then her and after all it wasn't just that, he liked to spend time with her. He wouldn't admit this obviously!

"Runya?" He called out softly hoping his sister wasn't around to hear him. Oh he could just imagine her teasing now. He shook his head and let out a soft sigh.

Where was she?  

[Lithiasaur]

Runya sighed. Her last fight with her brother had gone miserably, and she had no idea how she was going to get strong enough to beat her friend, her rival, that really annoying boy. She sighed.

It wasn't just about being stronger. She had something to prove to him. That maybe even if she wasn't stronger than him, she was just as good as he was. Just as determined. Capable of keeping up with him. Something. What was it? She wanted everyone to see she was just as good as him? Or did she want him to see she was good enough for him?

Now that was a weird thought.

Shaking her head, she was stunned when she heard Helios calling for her. Bounding toward the voice, a bit too excited, she came to a stop near him.

"Helios!" she said, grinning. Then she forced herself to look a bit more serious, "I said next time we met we'd have to duel, right?" She crouched, watching him with keen, determined eyes.

After spotting Runya he ran at her. She was right she promised a duel and so that was what they were going to get.

He crouched down and moved slowly towards Runya. Wow she looked good. What was he thinking? He was suppose to be fighting her not going wow she is hot. Stupid male brain! He shook his head and ran towards her, he wasn't about to trust his mind now.

He leapt.

As he did he saw her eyes and something happened that meant his leap wasn't heading where it should have been. She really was beautiful, gorgeous. No he was distracted again. This was cheating, she wasn't allowed to do this!

Runya watched him carefully. Okay. Now her self-imposed training regimen had to come into play. She needed to stay focused. Luckily for her she had seen him before, and thought about him a lot, so she wasn't distracted by his looks as he was hers.

Though, she didn't realize that's why his pounce was off.

Too caught up in the fight, she sidestepped and tried to catch him on the side, leaping and tackling him as soon as he hit the ground. She didn't stay attached to him for long, however, wanting to keep moving so he couldn't catch her. She whirled away and swung her paw at his side as she moved, landing, to her own surprise, a fairly heavy blow right to his flank.

She retreated, watching him carefully, back arched and fur spiked, her lithe frame fully on display as she coiled every muscle in an effort to prepare for anything.

She caught him and pushed him down. What? How did that just happen and then he looked at her again. How can she looks so suddenly stunning? She didn't have this affect on him before!

He swiped at her, batting her with his paws while wriggling about trying to get him to stand again, then he ran straight at her, he had to get her, he had to! She was winning and all because she was cheating.

Cheater.

He didn't like cheaters but she was just so.... so.... beautiful.

Snap out of it!

He shook his head as he ran, loosing his footing a couple of times but he still ran, he had to beat her and apparently had to do it with his eyes closed!

Runya was really beginning to notice how distracted her opponent seemed. Why was he looking at her so intently? He wasn't even following through with his attacks very well. She couldn't understand what was going on. Shaking her head, she decided she would just have to roll with it.

If he wasn't going to treat it seriously, she was going to make him see she wasn't a joke.

Bracing herself, she let him run at her. He was stumbling and off, but she still knew he could be dangerous. Crouching, she pounced at his face as soon as he was close, using his momentum and her own to ram her shoulder right into his nose.

That aught to snap him back into the fight, if anything did.

Well that helped! The bang on the head helped until he opened his eyes.

"Idiot"

He cursed himself and closed his eyes again using his nose and ears to work out where she was and then he ran at her again. It was an odd technique and was most likely to fail but he ran in the direction he believed her to be. After all he had to try now didn't he?

Runya had no idea what was going on. He was keeping his eyes closed! Was this something he had learned from his master? Some kind of crazy fighting technique?

She was worried. She hadn't found a master to train her, per se, and had gotten a few lessons from various friends and relatives. She braced herself, keeping her eyes focused.

Watching him twice as hard, if he wasn't going to watch her.

Not knowing what he was doing, she didn't know how to fight him. So she let him get closer, wanting to fight him head on anyway. He'd have to open his eyes then, right?

He knew he was getting closer and so he ran at her and leapt. He only then opened his eyes because it was then that he knew there wouldn't be time for his stupid male hormones to kick in.

Apparently he was wrong.

He did however keep control for long enough, he was heading in the right direction and it was the thought of his sister that allowed him to follow it through.

There! He was looking at her now, at least.

Of course, waiting for him hadn't been the best plan. Now he was on top of her, and she felt a bit of pain in her body from his attack. She slid away from him, though, turning sharply and letting out a roar and a hiss as she swung her paw at him, connecting with his muzzle.

She wasn't going to let him beat her. Real training or not, she knew she was strong. And she was determined for him to see that, above all else. She didn't have to be stronger than -him-: she just needed to prove herself in her own right.

Intensity burning in her eyes, she circled him, growling.

No don't look at her, look at the floor, the sky, your paws just not at her. The sound of her growl was bad enough. It was... seductive. How could he find her growling seductive? Oh what was going on??

He just pounced her again, his nose really hurt from her various attacks but he had to finish this. He had to before he turned into a pile of fur and mush. He had his eyes open but his thought was of his sister because that took all the mush feelings away in an instant.

He was going to win.

She got pinned by his attacked but not for long. Her body was aching and she was tired, the hits and the exertion of her own attacks wearing on her. She needed to finish the fight, but she didn't know how much he had left.

She swung but she missed completely, misjudging the distance between them. Shaking her head, she continued to growl at him, icy blue eyes glued on him, brilliant red fur prickled.

"You look like you're about to fall down," she pointed out, feeling exactly that way but not wanting to admit it. She sat down, looking indignant, "I'm not going to fight you any more if you're going to keep being weird about it. Why won't you look at me? What's wrong with you?"

She noticed? Damn.

"Erm... new technique.." It was a feeble excuse but she might believe it? After all he was being trained by Kali so it might work? Though he wondered whether he should just tell her but then how do you go about saying oh by the way you suddenly look real hot!

No.

Bad idea. The technique excuse would have to work but he couldn't look at her as he spoke and he knew she would notice.

"Okay I can't look at you coz your like different." Beautiful, gorgeous.... oh he wanted her and it was strange. It was like his body was longing for her and he was sure there was something wrong in that and he was certain it would freak her out. He had got himself in trouble now!

Runya scoffed and shook her head.

"It's a stupid technique, if that's true. You didn't know where I was half the time! Not that I'm complaining..." she trailed off when he started speaking again.

She blinked.

"Different?" she blushed under her red fur. He noticed she looked different? She didn't even know what he meant by that, but something struck her as embarrassing, so she looked down. Maybe he didn't like that she looked different. But she, at least, was inexplicably happy that he had noticed.

"Well I -am- growing up," she said, pretending to be offended, "and it's been... a while... since we saw each other last. What? You don't like that I look different, then?"

"No!" He said maybe a little too quickly.

"Erm... you look gorgeous..." What was he saying? He couldn't do this maybe he was ill.

"I am sorry Runya... I...." He didn't know what to say he just kept looking at her. No they were friends this wasn't right. What were these odd feelings anyway? No No NO NO NO NO!! He shook his head but he suddenly saw her again and fell on his belly looking at her.

"What are you doing to me?" It was more of a desperate plea then an accusation. He really didn't understand what he was feeling and he couldn't let her get close, the smell of her was alluring. Was this part of growing up? Oh he was so confused, why did she have to suddenly be so gorgeous?
