well i was reading the naruto manga again and i was readin the fight between Gaara and Kimimaro and Kimimaro has a piont. Gaara cant do anything without sand but then again its like impossible to not have sand by you.so i was wondering on your opinion on the subjuct.
p.s. im not intending to insult Gaara with this topic

This is complicated but... I would say no. I must say he seems weak without the sand but... I don't think he'd be worthless without it. I haven't read a lot of Manga's with him in it yet but I doubt all he's realy good at is controlling sand and it's movement.

I don't think he has gotten much training in other basic stuff or he's just never using it... I actually think he'd have it a little difficult without his sand as he's not very experienced with neither taijutsu nor other ninjutsus that doesn't involve sand. I say he's not weak but would need some serious training is he didn't have his sand 3nodding

Yes, Gaara is a bit phisically weak. But with training I'm sure he could make up for it somehow. He may be a little weak from realing on his sand so much but he's not hopeless. (Just so you know, I do love Gaara.)

You have a point there Bastet, that gourd gotta weight quite a lot and he does move quite fast with it. Besides, he's carrying it with him almost everywhere xd

my friends brought this up. and the gourd is light as a feather, its MADE OF SAND, and his chakra automatically picks up the sand, he cant feel its weight. if say, naruto were to wear that gourd itd be impressive tho. but sadly, even though hes the coolest anime character of all time, hes pretty weak without the sand. he NEVER uses any shuriken or anything, so...but like u guys have said, he makes it a point to have sand. but look at lee, lee almost beat gaara even with the sand.

Gaara=you are the fool. if i have sand i can do anything"*
