Yesterday I got my Hair Cut. It was just getting too long, and it was time. You see, I love my hair to be Longish, kind of like Demetri Martin, because I actually kind of look Jewish that way. Unfortunately, after a blissful two weeks it's just too long, messy. I've learned through the years that when I get it cut, I'll have to wait a long time to look Jewish again. I look like the Irish guy I am most of the time. I don't look Jewish. I look Irish. I am Irish. I am Jewish. Got it?

I find it really ironic that my Jewish Mother, my Jewish Brother, and my Catholic Dad all look soooooo Jewish but I don't!

And before you jump down my throat, I do realise that LOOKING Jewish is as meaningless in terms of BEING Jewish as having the last name Green or Goldstein or Fineman.
But I want to see what the JGG has to say about the stereotypical Jewish Looks. And there are a few, if you go with the short Jew, the tall and thin Jew, the Jew-Fro...

Don't let the stylist take a razor to your head. Problem solved.

Get a stylist who works more with scissors and less with razors. If your head gets snipped more than buzzed, you'll look less goyish. You might also think about saving up for a nose job. Ask for the Lenny Bruce.

Nuff Said. Ok folks lets be honest here, the guys posted who "look" jewish actually look "central and eastern european." They have similar features but it is because most of their descendants came from one centralized part of the world. I mean, there is a reason, Finkle, Seinfeld, Gottfried, Sandler and Lovitz are all Jewish sounding... they're all european names. Now... I have been to the Bar Mitzvah of a young mister J. Patrick Murphy who was more Ginger than Ron Weasley. So no, no one looks jewish anymore. Not even him, who is Jewish. Like it or not.

Neuf Not even him, who is Jewish. Like it or not. I rather don't like that he's Jewish. I'd rather blame the goyim on that one.

Ashkenazi Jews (who I presume we're discussing here) generally look more Mediterranean than their ethnic European counterparts. But it really depends on how much intermarriage one's family has had over the generations. Looking at old photos I can see that many of my Jewish forebears were very Semitic looking, implying very little or no intermarriage with Europeans.

I'm Italian, so in terms of stereotypes, I've got the skin and the hair down. I find these stereotypes hurtful though, it goes back to never feeling Jewish enough (if that makes sense). This woman owns my heart.

Err.... What was the point of this thread, exactly?
Media: I have cousins that are flaming red-heads with green eyes that are entirely ethnically Jewish without a drop of Irish blood in them. I have another little cousin that has the biggest blue eyes you've ever seen that go well with his blondish hair. There's no one definition of what defines somebody as "looking Jewish" or not, and moreover, it's not looking Jewish that defines you as being Jewish- it's practicing Judaism. Don't let anybody ever tell you otherwise.

darkphoenix1247 Err.... What was the point of this thread, exactly Umm... wait... I know! The Nazi in WWII tried to prove that Jews were different than other people because they were physically deformed due to poor breeding and therefore less human. So to have a discussion, disproving that Jews have a certain "look" to them, helps us beat back the nazi stereotype that Jews have a certain look. I mean, you can't tell Optimus Prime is Jewish by the way he looks. And really, I don't think I share the characteristics of Mr Rodney Dangerfield. And he'd approve of what I just said.
