I don't like VS threads, because they always put people who are unmatched together. I was at this one thread, and this guy wanted to know who was the strongest swordsman and who would win in a fight. The people he had down were: Kenshin (wandering ex-assasin), Zolo(three sword weilding guy from One Peice, Hei (three eyed guy from Yu Yu Hakusho), Sessomaru (one armed uber demon that wears fur), and he asked for others. He said that Kenshin would win, but I know that's not true. This is what I wrote.
Kenshin is the strongest human swordsman, and my favorite anime/manga character, but people put him agains demons and gods that have super powers. It's like saying the world's strongest boxer could beat Goku in a boxing match. Goku just needs one punch and the other guy needs a million. Kenshin is the strongest, but don't be putting him up against people that can show their energy and use it.
I know this is just a useless thought, but I think people need to know the limits of characters and know that everybody loses sometime. Not all characters are equal and should be considered that they they can have a fair fight. Well this is just the ramblings of an old man. (only 18 sweatdrop )

i'm not sure that this counts as an anime topic but as long as i don't get any complaints, i'll let it stay
i personally don't have a problem with vs threads as long as they are somewhat realistic but even the unrealistic ones can be highly amusing...

Unless you read Anime Insider, you have no idea just how true the words Imbar said are.
One of the match ups they had was that disguesting human mutant monster guy against . . . HAMTARO!
And Hamtaro won by the way. It was hilarious.

I like the anime insider ones, the have a cool story to like it together, sometimes the people don't even fight. One time they had Golgo 13 (might not be right) against Detective Connan, and it was just a battle of wits.

I agree. Plus we just did a little vs thing over the phone the other night. Like Mustang vs Robin or Armstrong vs Potemkin (my moneys on Potemkin but it would be a god fight).

Those were people with equal abilities and similar fighting styles. I just don't like Goku Vs Hercule kind of fights, one sided fights. People need to find balance in the strengh of their anime characters, everybody likes to think of fights between characters, and I like doing that to. Like I said in my first post, this is the ramblings of an old man.

It should always be fair fights. Vash vs Pikachu is not a fair fight.

Just thought of this one.
Shinji Ikari and Unit 01
Vs
Ayato Kamina and RahXephon
Vs
Kira Yamato and The Freedom
Its would be a good match up now that I think about it.
But enough of that. Its sortah unfair for Shinji since he can't fly (and if he could, he would rip them all to shreds).

though he is the best, he wouldn't fit in. No chance. Unless he uses his "special ending".

He isn't slow at all. Hes just super realistic. He doesn't zoom around with jet packs and stuff. Big O is more like a tank. They aren't the fastest things in the world but they are very powerful and Big O is just that.
Besides, Big O is the best robot/Mech out there. I liked the Big O series more than Gundam Wing or Gundam SEED. Yet I liked Cyborg 009 better than Gundam Wing also. I should collect both of those series...
Big O had some cool attacks also. His laser beam eyes and his mega fist thingy majiggy. It was awesome. Love it.
