I have this rookie that wont play at all. She's probably played all of six notes in the 28 hours of band camp. First her excuse was her braces were hurting, then when she could no longer use that as an excuse, she resorted to fake crying with a head and stomach ache. She's done this three days in a row. At first we believed her, but if she wasn't whineing she was laghing and playing around. Another person in our section tried to offer her some Origell for her gums, but she didn't even use it. We all know what she's doing, and it's driving us crazy! The band director knows, and he's just trying to find a way to handle it.

I just wanted to know if any of you have had a similar experience.
