I wasn't so sure what to think of this at first. But after seeing some pictures of the upcoming movie I feel a lot more excited to see what it'll be like. I'm going to have to trust Tim Burton with it until then.

I'm definitely looking forward to this. While Disney's version of Alice is a classic, I feel that it missed on the more sinister overtones of the novel. And, yes, Johnny Depp is pretty amazing.

We Have A Winnar I'm definitely looking forward to this. While Disney's version of Alice is a classic, I feel that it missed on the more sinister overtones of the novel. And, yes, Johnny Depp is pretty amazing. And yet, the billion other adaptations of the novel did not. We do not need another 'dark' version of this, it's superfluous and another boring Burton cash-in on the goth crowd. [Mod Action: Official thread for this film! I will move all others.]

Somebody in the Entertainment Forum thought the Johnny Depp picture was of Elijah Wood. I can totally see it. Creeeeepy.
Check list! Tim Burton? Check. Johnny Depp? Check. Helena Bonham Carter? Check. Christopher Lee? Check. Danny Elfman? Check. Chris Lebenzon? Check. Colleen Atwood? Check.
Okay I'm tired of this. In other words, another typical Tim Burton Production™. Woweewowow.
Though I do like Anne Hathaway, but I think her eyebrows are going to be distracting.

Personally, I think Tim Burton is a really, really bad director. And I've never seen an adaption of Alice in Wonderland that did the book justice at all. Not even the Disney version.
Plus, the style and the actor's makeup and costumes scare the crap out of me. Especially Helena Bonham Carter's giant freaking head D:

I mean, after the hype, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is disposable tripe.
