Dear friends and foes(should I have any here, though I doubt it) alike, I am in need of your assistance!
For the last few months, I have been working on my own tabletop RPG(something like Dungeons & Dragons for the uneducated) from scratch for the entertainment of myself and my friends, and I have run into a little snag. It's nothing too terribly huge, but it's something that I wish to incorperate into my game.
It has to do with playable races.
The game itself is set in a world where humans are one of three dominating races of intelligent creatures. Each race has it's own strengths and weaknesses. Humans are average, well rounded beings perfect for beginners, with bonuses to their intelligence and willpower stats. The second race is a race of slightly primitive, desert dwelling humanoid reptillians(similar to the Goron race from the Legend of Zelda series) that have bonuses to their physical strength and constitution stats.
It is the third race that I need help with. They will be a noble jungle dwelling race similar to elves that have bonuses to their dexterity and balance stats, but I can't really come up with any ideas as to what they should be. They have to be a humanoid form of some existing animal, and that's pretty much all I can think of. I have played around with the possibility of them being bird-like or feline-like people, but they just don't really sit right for some reason.
Please, my friends. I humbly ask for your ideas. What type of animal should this slender, dexterous thrid race be?
