With the premier of the second season of True Blood being this evening I can think of no better time than this to open the Season Two discussion board.
This is a place to discuss already aired episodes and predictions for upcoming episodes. So be warned, there could be spoilers ahead.

I am so happy about the first episode! I wasn't expecting barely any of it! I thought it was major gross though with the whole sam and Maryann thing. How old was she??!!!! I also think that Eric's little appearance was so....amazing. I can't wait to see more of him.
I also got like wtf when I found out that lafayette was ALIVE! I was acting all smart with my friend earlier in that day saying that oh lafayette is dead because I read the books and I thought I knew everything! I'm glad he is still alive though. xd

Lol. I was too! I was already all upset because I was afraid that Lafayette was dead and telling everyone he was. I'm so glad I was wrong! Although I'm sure he was wishing he was dead at this point......
Actually, Eric's appearance upset me a little. Perhaps I'm just too used to thinking of him in my own way but knowing that he's the one who is torturing them and then seeing what he did to the redneck. I don't know, it just got to me. Seeing him having his hair highlighted amused the hell out of me though.
But I'm so over this Bill/Sookie thing. They were not that bad in the books. I hate the lovey dovey s**t. I just can't stand it, even in my own life.

Yeah the only smart thing Jessica said in the whole show was "you're no Eric." As in referring to Bill. Maybe the next show will contain more of him. I'm still a little worried about the whole Jason and Fellowship of the Sun. I also wonder if Maryanne is hosting the "orgy" and who all would be there? There are just so many plots this year I can't keep my head on straight! I'm so excited and curious!!!!!

The funny thing is that I wasn't too fond of the idea that Eric was keeping people, either. After rewatching it a couple of times, I found it amusing and decided not to get too upset, as we don't know exactly what the rest of the season has in store for us.

You know that's the one thing I'm really loving about the show; that I don't know what's going to happen. I mean, at this point, I only have a vague idea of what's going on but not enough to anticipate what is going to happen next. I really like that.
I just hate that they are letting Eric keep his hair short. Ugh.

I don't know if Quinn will be introduced for a while, just because of his presence in the books. Then again they aren't following the books as much as we thought so who knows.

I loved Eric a whole lot more in this episode and I'm so glad that there is actually a story line about the reason why his hair is short now. The entire exchange between Eric, Pam, and Lafayette just made me die.
I'm still in love with Jessica. Now that we know more about her past I'm just like "Awwwww!"
So, Eric and Sookie going to Dallas alone. This could be fun. >)

Okay, so so far I am loving season two. Yes, it is pissing me off how so much is different from in the books, but its still really good. I was so relieved to see that Lafayette was still alive seeing as he is totally one of my favorite characters. And the guy who is playing Eric I think is actually perfect.. Im so glad we'll be seeing a lot more of him this season. =D Oh and that smirk when him and Bill were standing in the department store in episode two was just... delicious! I hate only being able to watch it once a week. I really have no patience haha, Im like ahhh!!!

I agree with you Alyce! I hate being able to watch it only once a week. I can't wait for the season to come out on DVD so I can watch it whenever I want!
The only problem is that I live with my very conservative grandparents so I have to be careful about what I watch around them. Thankfully I have my own TV and DVD player so its all good.
I watched it again today and I liked it even more. I fall more and more in love with Eric the more I watch. I'm really interested to see if they will turn Lafayette into a vampire or not.
What do yall think?
