The power went out in my house for about an hour today. We were experiencing severe weather which had the potential to create funnel clouds. It was weird because I was on the phone with my mom at the time, and the line went all static-y right when I heard thunder.

I thought electricity didn't affect phone lines. At least, that was what I was told.
lol, I remember how a few summers ago, the electricity went out for the whole night, and people were freaking because they thought it was a terrorist attack, but it turned out that some plant in Michigan was just experiencing problems.

electricity affects cordless phones, which most are now.

lol, I see. I only have one cordless phone in my house. All the others have cords.
