.:~ Story ~:. Not to far, in the distant future, Hunter's were tired of killing dumb animals, war leaders needed new, unintended weapons, and spoiled little rich kids needed something new and improved to play with... So, mankind started doing genetic experiments with animals and humans, creating Ikimono. They used all types of animals, Dogs, Cats, Tigers, lions, bears, rats, birds, and some underwater species, which created a mutation what they'd call a 'mermaid'.
All Ikimono's had the same train of thought as a normal human, the same smartness, the same way they lived, they just had animal characteristics added. Some Ikimono turned to look just like a human, but had ears and a tail, others turned out more like the animal, but could still maintain some human traits. The scientist didn't like this and neither did the public, and so these 'Ikimono rejects' were put to sleep.
The more domestic Ikimono became the new 'house pets', the wild ones became zoo kept, became the new prey for hunters, or were sent off to battle in wars, and humans just got bigger aquariums for the water Ikimono's.
After the government put an end to the creation of Ikimonos, it soon became a new breeding hobby for breeders. People would bread Ikimonos and sell them for millions.
The Ikimonos themselves were fed up with all of this. One leader stood up, and before mankind could stop him, he made a war effort to make Ikimono freedom. The Ikimono race won, and they became their own 'race'. No one ever knew this hero's name, but even after he disappeared, the Ikimonos praised him, and looked up to him.
Ikimono's now went to school like humans, wedded like humans, and had children like humans. The humans and Ikimono eventually lived in peace with one another. Some Ikimono still continued their original way, and served humans. And the like wise with some humans still mistreating Ikimono.After a while, some Ikimono and humans started wedding each other. This was looked down upon by both races. Some Ikimono and humans didn't understand why this was so wrong, since Ikimono were already part human. Eventually this became excepted, just like gay people had become excepted.
All in all, Ikimonos and humans lived in peace.

The Ikimono stuff is taking place all over the world, but for organizations sake, this role play takes place in a made-up small city on Japan's western shore! yayz! You can come from a different country, but you have to currently live in Japan. It'd be nice if all the character's are schooling age (elementary-collage), that way it's all together, and we'll all meet. :3

All guild rules apply and all roleplaying rules apply!
1. Swearing is allowed, but you have to use * for major swear words.
2.Romance is allowed, but keep it PG-13.
3.You can roleplay as, as many characters as you want, but keep track of them.
4.Please post within at least 3 days, and keep in sync with the storyline, if you're gonna be gone for a bit, please notify me somehow.
5.Please be literate as much as you can.
6.I can add rules, so check back here often, but not too often.
7.NO GOD-MODDING! As much as a lot of people want to, please don't!
8.Aaand, you cannot kill anybody, only the NPCs, unless they say it's somehow okay. (this rule is for the hunters that still like to hunt Ikimono.)
9.If you want to leave the RP, the PM me and I'll make a small announcement here.

History or Bio: His dad left him and his mom when he was still really young. His mom always struggled to keep the payments up. He met two girls, Ame and Chiko, when he was still a child, and they've been friends forever. Everyone always thought of him as girly cause he loved to cook, but Ame had thought he was amazing for the talent. Once he was old enough, he started a job at a cafe shop to help his mom with the bills.

Hobbies: He loves to cook, baking is his favorite.
Other: Him, Ame, and Chiko are childhood friends.

When she was young, her parents wanted her to be the best daughter she could be. They sent her to ballet classes, taught her cooking and everything else about being a woman. When Irma was sixteen, she learned that her parents were actually hoping for a boy. But, due to some problems after her birth, they were stuck with her. So, after much trial and error, she managed to bind her chest and hips (or what parts were there) down, cut her hair, and changed her name to Irwin. When her parents saw her, they were less than impressed with her cross-dressing. They shunned her as much as they could without seeming too neglectful. When she turned eighteen, they kicked her out of the house. But, she didn't really mind. She found an apartment with relative ease and managed to keep up with the rent with her job and hobbies. Job: Irwin sells newspapers around the town. It pays good money; about $200-$400 weekly. Talents: Irwin has a knack for mixing recipes for drinks together. She aims to be a professional bartender when she becomes of age. Other: Irwin enters "Drag King" contests in her spare time. There's a fair amount of prize money when one wins, along with the title "Drag King of the Year". -Picture: Like this with slightly more feminine features.

History or Bio: Both of her parents died in a tragic car accident when she was 12 years old. Nodoka and Chiko had helped her go through the huge ordeal. She started selling her work to earn her living. Her one down side of her Cat Ikimono is that she has a craving for cat food. She always has a little baggy of cat food with her. (lol)
Job: Cafe Shop; She owns her own small business in the Plaza as well and she sells her music and artwork.

Other: She may be a Cat Ikimono, but she always loved dogs and has a pet she named Doku, who is a pure breed Husky. She and Chiko live together.

History or Bio: Chiko's parent's abbandened her as a child and left her with her great, great grandmother. (Ikimonos live a few years longer than normal humans.) Living with her grandmother, Chiko was more around the old ways of an Ikimono's life, so she was more 'obedient', even to other Ikimono. She'd met Nodoka and Ame when she was 6. She was being chased by a dog Ikimono, and Ame fought with him and scared him off. They've all been friends since. - Chiko is really shy, and is easy to boss around. She's a quiet person, and tends to not have a strong will of her own.
Job: Lyberry. (Library)
Hobbies: Reading a good book and writing poetry and short stories. She sales some of her work at Ame's shop.
Other: She lives with Ame, and has a pet albino rabbit named Chii, that goes with her everywhere, even to school and work. Doku and Chii get along fine. She eats a lot of fruit. And she doesn't go to school; she works as a full time librarian. She learns her stuff from books.

Other: Ikuto is not really Sayuri's older brother. He was actually adopted into the family (It's one reason he protects Sayuri). He also goes to the Cafe during his breaks at his work.

After he became an Ikimono he was sent out in wars and battles. His mixed DNA made him not only smart but fast. He was also very much bullet proof for the most part due to his scales. He would eventually end up being one of the Ikimono to help make the Ikimono race. Strider was the second in command always standing side by side with the Ikimono savior. After her parents died from a humans sick idea of fun (hunting), she traveled to Japan. Once there, she was slightly overwhelmed at all the technology and friendliness of most of the humans. She struggled to find a job, but eventually found one at the theater, which she was pleased about. Job: theater Talents: singing, dancing Other: Inali is bi. Also, even though she's a fox, she'll never eat meat; only fruit, vegetables, and nuts. -Picture: Just imagine her with black fur.

Guduman Schooling- This is the school district were humans and Ikimono go to school! (duh lol) It consist of all grade levels, including collage!
Plaza- This is the shopping/food central where kids, teens, and adults can shop, and eat out. Several popular places are located throughout here.
-Hink: Shop of the Arts- This is the shop that Ame owns where she sells her music and art. Located in the Plaza.
-Lybarry- The library. Just a bit more cool and high-tech to were teens actually like hang out there. They have books, video games, movie rooms and so on.
Cafe shop- This is the hot spot were teenagers (human or Ikimono) come to hang out, do study groups or to serf the web. This place is high tech with a retro look. It's located in the Plaza.
The Beach Shack- This is a hot spot for teens, not just in the summer, but all year round. The Beach Shack has an indoor swimming pool and hot tub, with a spa and work out gym. It also has a few seafood places. This is located right on the beach.
Theater- This is the movie/play theater. They have one building for plays and acts, another building that shows movies. The mood usually fits the movie or play. They have separate hallways that represent the different genre of the movies. Horror, action, comity, romance, action, and so forth.

Sayuri got up early and dressed, walking downstairs to make breakfeast. But Ikuto was already their, breakfeast made. "Good morning, Ikuto..." Yuri greeted sitting down.
Ikuto smiled and gave Sayuri her food. "Good morning." He greeted sitting next to her with his food. "I do hope you have a great time at your job, Yuri-chan."

Orcus got inside the school and ate breakfast there. He headed to class and was the first to arrive. "Huh..." He turned to the teacher. "Have I missed something?"

Ame ran over next door to Nodoka's house, eating a small bowl of cat food on the way. She jumped up to his second floor window ledge. "Hey Nodoka, you up? It's the first day of school!" Nodoka groaned, and turned in bed. "I don't wanna get up, mother..." Ame laughed. "I'm not your mother, you dumb-butt!"

Even though Orcus was the only kid in class at this time he enjoyed the calm of this class. It had a grand view and the trees blocked out most of the light.

Ame ran with Nodoka in tow, her friends still practacly sleep walking. "We're late Nodoka!" "Yeah, ye...." He didn't even finish he was so tired. He'd stayed up late closing the Cafe. Ame ran into the school district and into the highschool building and in their first class. "Sorry we're late!" She said pulling Nodoka into his seat, and taking her seat beside him. She waved hi to Orcus.
