A costume ball (with small prizes for best costumes) is underway.
As a raffle prize, the guild is offering a TTRPG Limited Ed. Manual. Raffle tickets are 50g for the first one, and 10g after that (remember - ticket prices support the prizes and guild).
Now the question is: when will we hold this? I've suggested two different weeks in the poll, but if they are both bad for you, post here and let me know - hopefully everyone will be able to attend.
To Order a Ticket: Just send a trade to the guild mule, IRTIA, with the number of tickets in the title and the total amount of gold in the trade. Example:

I liked it when we've cosplayed as characters from books before. Maybe we could also have some book trivia for prizes?

Thank you, Miss Olivia. smile
Lunar - That brings up another question ... what kinds of prizes are people interested in?

Lunar's ideas sound good!
Book-related prizes would make sense, if the guild can afford them.

Olivia makes a good point. Book related prizes make sense. Maybe we should have a poll and see what kind of prizes that members would be interested in? Maybe a lot of cheap items, and perhaps a grand prize of something larger and more expensive. How about a raffle for that grand prize so that the cost for it doesn't fall with just the guild's funds?

If you're looking at big things, like Evolving Items, they wouldn't even have to be first generation, either. Isn't the Enchanted Book, for example, fully evolved, regardless of generation?

Ah, good ideas everyone. I've added a poll so people can vote. We've given out quite a few book items already - Gaia can't make them fast enough for us.
There are the Enchanted book and Lyndexer's Journal, now, so they're new options.

So, when would we have the event?

I really like the idea of cosplaying characters from books. 3nodding
Perhaps we could have cosplay competition, as trivia quiz and a raffle for the grand prize?

Ooo, an Enchanted Book as a prize would be awesome.
Also, I love the idea of a trivia quiz.

If we do the cosplaying idea again, I know exactly who I want to be this time. And I have most of the needed items already, and plenty of gold to get what would be missing.

I think a raffle would be a good way to distribute the larger items, as its completely fair. smile
I like the cosplay contest idea, as well as trivia sets. Perhaps we could set up trivia by genre, too, so people can play to their specialties. Any volunteers to write trivia questions?

A quick note from the guild account:
The treasury is rather low after the last giveaway (sorcerer's book), so a portion of the funds will have to depend on raffle tickets.
