Ooook....sooo, I was over at my BFF's place the other day and the topic of frats and initiation acts came up. Supposedly, a frat here in Jersey located at NJIT has this initiation thing where you have to get as many girls as possible to give the guy a hickey, obviously on the neck. The more risquee the place, the better. Also, I believe they tally up who gots the most, as well.
Now, in this particular frat, one of them is a friend of my BFF's sister, aka my sister, as well (we're family, bishes talk2hand ) and she was asked to give him a hickey. Of course, she didn't coz it's just more fun that way coz now the guy had to work to get a hickey. You don't exactly go up to a girl and say 'Hey, I need you to gimme a hickey. Now. Near my groin area would be awesome'.
This conversation about giving and getting hickeys ended up with one of the most, if not the top of the list of, awkward moments. Imagine this...there's no girls around to help ya. You only have you and your buddy. Both of you are straight and you really wanna get into the frat. In times of desperation, desperate measures are taken. Both of you reach for each other...and give each other hickeys. How awkward would that be?

Awkward yes but if I really wanted to get into the frat I would do it. I think I would rather my best friend did than a whole bunch of nobodies. rofl
Wow the only thing we have here for that sort of thing is to get blind drunk and then they strip you naked and put you somewhere in public view and take photo's. I think I'd go with the hickey's!

Yosh, it's a joke within our group of friends whenever one of us to decide to join the Greeks. xp

It's actually pretty tame.
There was another frat that we 'met' up with prior to the start of college. It's pretty tame, too. Umm, so the story goes is that you have to get a silly tattoo, come up with a pick-up line and get with the girl (lame-o talk2hand ). But, yea, this guy had tattooed eggs and bacon by his collarbone area and tried the line with me. It made me rofl

@Ammit: It is stupid, that's why it's so funny to hear bout it. blaugh
@Lucrecian: Greek life actually is pretty academically related, so to speak. When they're not partying it up, they are doing fundraising events and activities in relation to whatever majors they have and one of the greatest benefits of being a Greek is the networking part of it. Alumnis come and visit their frats or sororities and help current members out with future job positions. 3nodding
As far as hazing, hasn't happened around here yet. At least none that I've heard of in relation to the ones around here 3nodding
