[PRP] Playdate! [Hadiya x Jaha] (complete)

It was a nice sunny day, hardly a cloud in the sky. But unfortunately, it was a very hot day. That is why Hadiya had decided to take a swim for a little bit. She had been swimming the nearby pool and had thought to get out and enjoy the sun a little bit more. She was now currently laying down lazily next to the pool, soaking up the sun.  

[Snuffers]

Unlike his mate, Jaha was deep in the oasis, swimming and gawking at the beautiful, dream-like visage of the metallic fish. He was in awe as he watched his own mane float around in slow motion as his scarlet paws did the same.

Jaha wondered to himself why some didn't enjoy the water, it was so beautiful and refreshing!

Jaha and Hadiya had been back together for a few months now, and things seemed to be running pretty smoothly. Except for the time that he had eaten a few of the berries that had caused him to hallucinate and sing excessively. Bad times. It was hilarious, but it was it definately wasn't good for him.

Hadiya giggled. Currently her mate was completely enjoying the water. She knew he was having tons of fun and as much as she wanted to join him, the sun felt too good.  

[Snuffers]

As much as Jaha wished it so, he was not a fish. As he wasn't he did need to breathe. With great similarity to a whale, he broke the surface, whipping his mane away from his face, revealing a joyous grin. Although... he did have some work to do on his gracefulness. There was a bit of a problem with it not existing for him.

A twinge of sadness broke his merry smile as he realized that it wasn't much fun swimming alone...

To resolve this problem, Jaha promtly paddled in Hadiya's direction. He was plotting the same thing that had happened when he had first met her. Water fight. Oh dear, Jaha should never be let alone with his thoughts. Ever. If he was, he would usually either drift aimlessly in the deep abyss that was his mind, or he would come up with a harmless, yet diabolical plot.

As silently as he could, he drew nearer and nearer his target. His mate was currently sunbasking, but not for long. He dipped his sanguine tail into the water like a paintbrush and lightly flecked her with water to get her attention. But there wouldn't be much time to ask questions, as he instantly afterward raised himself onto his hind legs and forced himself back down, causing a large splash in Hadiya's general direction.

Hadiya was too busy enjoying the sun to notice her mate sneaking up on her. But when she was flicked with water, she opened her eyes just in time to see a water wave coming at her. She quickly jumped to her feet but was unable to outrun it, getting soaked.

After the water was done splashing on her, she looked at who could have splashed her and there was Jaha. Her eyes burned with anger. "Jaha..." She said menacingly, she then steadied herself and pounced!

Jaha looked incredibly smug as he saw that his wave had made it's mark. He stood there in triumph for a few fleeting moments. But they were soon to pass as he saw the look of sheer fury upon Hadiya's face. Smug smile was now gone and on a different continent.

Jaha's eyes widened majorly as Hadiya then poised herself into a hunter's crouch. Instinctivly, Jaha turned and tried to sprint away. Unfortunately, being in the water, his sprint went at the speed of a leisurely walk.

He felt the blunt impact of his mate on his back and began sinking into the deeps of the oasis in a flurry of reflexive jolts and kicks he gave. He looked like a fish flopping out of water, but instead, it was two lions in a scuffle under the water.

Jaha had meant for this to be a playful splash fight, or a simple game of 'Can't catch me!', but it seemed to have turned serious. He obviously wasn't going to fight back seriously, he was just trying to play.

As much as Hadiya wanted to pound her mate, she also didn't want to drown. She let go of him, going to the more shallow part of the river. She had to admit, the water felt good, but really!

She looked back at him. "You know, you really shouldn't do that!" She yelled, more in a scolding way than angry. She was a bit annoyed. He could have at least asked her. She was a bit tired too but figured she would have to stay awake around her mate if he wasn't sleeping.

Jaha thrashed about wildly for a few more seconds, even though his mate was already leaving. This isn't what he had wanted at all! He had wanted a fun, little teasing game of a splash fight, not a 'I splashed you so now you are trying to beat me to a pulp' sort of splash fight.

As his mate swam away, he followed. The deep no longer seemed thrilling and brimming with adventure, now it just seemed darkly ominous. Jaha hadn't ever realized that women could change other's views of reality if they wanted to. Although that meant they could find a ray of sunshine in the middle of a hurricane, they generally didn't use their gift that way. It was more often used to strike fear into the hearts of their enemies, making them think that the wrath of God might split the earth if they didn't lay low and kiss up.

But Jaha didn't know that.

Jaha surfaced just after his mate had, only to hear the strange combination of a full blown rant and a lecture. Jaha lowered his head and his ears flattened back. He looked up at the disapproving face that was his mate's. She had the uncanny ability to make him feel like a small, helpless cub.

Hadiya looked back at her ate to see that he looked totally guilty. She sighed and walked back to him, rubbing against him. He looked and acted like such a cub sometimes...

"I'm sorry Jaha, it's just not good to surprise someone like that." She said, starting to purr a bit. "I was scared when I saw that water coming at me." She couldn't help it. She always felt like she had to apologize to him whenever he did anything and she scolded him. She had to lay back since she did realize that he didn't have that much experience with others.  

[Snuffers]

Jaha was a cub fully at heart. His body grew, but his mind and maturity level remained at the mix between sometimes an angsty teen and a five year old.

Jaha looked up to see his mate begin to comfort him. Graciously, he accepted it. Cuddles beat scoldings any day in his book. Jaha cuddled back in a way that showed that there were no hard feelings.

With his same bright enthusiasm that he originally had, he asked with shining eyes, "So do you want to have a splash fight?"

Hardly waiting for a response, Jaha dove back into the water and beckoned her in. Jaha never stayed upset for long.

Hadiya giggled when her mate went back into the water waiting for her to join him. She sighed, and jumped into the water herself. The water felt great, it usually did.

After staying under the surface for a few seconds, she swam back up to the surface, taking a big breath of air and looked for her mate. Spying Jaha she quickly swiped her paw. It wasn't a hug splash, but then again, it was just for fun.

Jaha gave a great sigh of relief when he realized that Hadiya was joining him. That must've meant that there were no hard feelings. Besides, this was supposed to just be innocent fun. Why, he had thoug-

SPLASH!

Rambling in his own mind, he hadn't been paying attention to his mate's purpose in joining him. After all, he had started it. With a playful swish of his tail, he lifted both of his forepaws and sent them crashing into the water in front of Hadiya, causing the water to recede downward, and have a massive return wave.

This is what he had wanted, a simple splash fight. Aw, heck with the mental stream, he was going to splash his mate!

Hadiya quickly dove under the water, trying to avoid the wave. She hypothesized that Jaha probably didn't know his own strength and that he was stronger that her. She swam back up, coming up behind him and tried to create a big wave herself. She probably wouldn't be as good as him but who cares!  

[Snuffers]

In the midst of his splashing, eyes closed, Jaha had lost track of his mate. Where did she--

SPLASH!

Really? Twice in a row? He really had to get his head in the game, cause she was creaming him! The splash had shot water up the back of his head, causing his firey mane to flop in his face.

"I've been hit!", he exclaimed overdramatically.

In order to remedy this, he submerged himself in the water and spotted his mate. Ah, the old, 'Get the Leg' trick. This one had happened when they had first met. Trying to sneak up, he grabbed her leg and pulled her down and let her up instantly. He didn't want her to drown, just wanted to freak her out.

Hadiya laughed as Jaha decided to dramatize things. This reminded her of when she first met Jaha. A splash fight.

When she looked at the spot where her mate had been, he had disappeared! She looked around frantically until she was suddenly tugged under the water! The thing that pulled her leg already let go so she was back up to the surface in a second. Unfortunately she had swallod some water and was now coughing it back up in a not very lady-like member.

Revenge! She had to get him back! She swam around and dove underwater, trying to get behind him.
