What do you think? If there was a middle aged woman in Sweet Loli shopping at Safeway, picking up her kids from school ect what would your reaction be?

I think it'd be rather interesting to see. XD Normally you don't see older women dressed like that. I'm not against it, but it would be interesting. Like seeing an amish family shopping at a grocery store sort of interesting.

It would depend on how old she looked.
Lolita's are notorious for looking young and perfect. Middle age is that time when you stop looking so young--your skin starts to loose elasticity and begins to wrinkle, your eyes begin to look like the world is gripping at you by the seams, etc. However, not all women experience this at middle-age. It would really depend on the circumstance.

I think she would have to put her own twists on the fashion. Older women can't get away with as much as younger ones.

When I was up in canada, I saw Amish/quaker/ some sort of lady like that at a pizza shop. whee

I see no problem with it, I'm a gothic loli, and when I'm older I plan on still being one, unless it doesn't look good on me anymore then I plan on focusing on gothic arisrocrat.

Yeah, I agree that it would be cool if you could pull it off, but my reaction to seeing an older woman wearing amaloli in public would be pity, because even though us youngsters get strange looks for wearing loli, it must be even harder for her. I would admire a woman with enough conviction to do that, regardless of her actual appearance (although my admiration would increase the better she pulled off the style, of course). whee

[ Chewable Antacid ] It would depend on how old she looked.

I've seen a picture of an older woman 40-50 years old that was dressed sorta lolita. It was at a con and it was sorta disturbing. I agree that looking young is part of the look and if that can't be achieved then it doesn't look right. the woman I saw was very wrinkled and old looking, and the look didn't really fit her. aristicrat would have fit her better. course I would never want anyone to think that they shouldn't dress the way they want to dress though, she wanted to dress that way, more power to her.
