Hollywood + Death Note = ?

Did anyone hear that Hollywood is going to make a remake of Death Note?

If so/not what do you think it's going to be like?

If it actually do get remade I hope the person that made the Dragonball movie doesn't end up as the director. Guys that movie sucked so bad, and it was so short.

So what about you guys?

I hope it doesn't do as bad as the other adaptations and that they stick to the original storyline..

Hollywood cannot think of any original storylines anymore. Fact.
I mean, how many recent films can you think of that were not either adaptations/rip-offs/remakes? Very few whatsoever.

But apparently the Hollywood Death Note remake is going to be based on the first 3 volumes of the manga, rather than the Japanese live-action films. So I'm hoping that'll mean it'll be pretty accurate.

I'm just hoping they don't screw up L.

Yup.

I dread Cowboy Bebop all the more because Keanu friggin' Reeves is gonna play Spike.

Not even Bebop is sacred anymore. Couldn't they at least get someone who doesn't look permanently stoned/surprised?

After all this mangling of my favorite foriegn films/animes, they could at least leave my favorite horror movies out of it...
