Leia would win, come on face it Padme has no real skill except for helping Anikin go to the dark side, Leia on the other hand she could even make stormies turn high tail and run

I say Padme of course lol. And she did have skill, she had to go through training before becoming Queen. She may not be a Jedi but the girl can defend herself

She has skill but no real skill, I've never seen her take to combat alone and win she has backup all the time... yeah R2-D2 and C-3PO count as backup since they save everyone quite a few times well R2 does lol

She has gotten herself out of sticky situations.
Like from Season one of clone wars, Episode 8 "Bombad Jedi"
She is taken hostage yet gets herself out of the situation without help. Yes she had a little help from JarJar's stupidity of distracting the gaurds. But before then she was locked up in a cell, and was able to free herself. Attacked some droids and what not. She cant destroy an army no lol she isnt a jedi after all. But there are times when she is very capable of defending herself without the help of others. Leia also had help most of the time if you recall as well lol. XD gotta give the girl some credit

She had skill, but I've seen greater evidence of Leia's skill. Leia, after all, was the offspring of Padme and Anakin, and strong in the force, and in the end, she has my vote.

I'm not saying she's bad because she isn't force sensitive I mean I love quite a few average characters, Zaalbar, HK-47, R2-D2, Wedge Antilles, Thrawn, Chewbacca, Commander Cody and Bacara, Captain Rex and quite a lot more.
I'm just saying she hasn't done very much without the assistance of others

I would have to go with Leia, sure Padme had skill and etc, but Leia has a B.A. attitude, she would totally win, she's craft and not bad with a blaster... xd

if you read the books set after The Return of the Jedi, you'd learn that Leia takes some Jedi lessons from her brother Luke. Not only that, she can fight with a lightsaber, too, so my money's on Leia.

You forgot about something, this would have to take place 20 years after Star Wars Episode 3, therefor Padme would be older where Leia would be young, so Leia has more energy, and plus the force.

Leia actually had better accuracy in the original trilogy. She hit more of her targets than ANYONE ELSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As you can see I'm goin for leia. Plus she gives me bacon when I support her.
