http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0CrUARlmqso... but i didnt know there was an AR in .50 cal. First impressions were nifty, since you have a rifle that can put a few rounds downrange comfortably that will take out a car engine, but then i thought, "This isnt much different then having a deagle with a few more rounds, right?" Doesnt make much sense putting it in full auto either, unless you really wanna ******** someone up. Like maybe the heavy gunner off of Killzone 2 confused I will give the ability to switch the upper receiver out from .223 to .50 quickly some kuddos. Thats a nice feature.

It's a short .50, though. It's probably pretty manageable. They've also made a .458 SOCOM round for the AR as well. I think they even use the same magazine.
I really, REALLY want the .410 upper though. Because... damn. Too bad they haven't hit the states yet. BUT THEY'RE SLATED FOR IMPORT NOW. Some day...

Well, I know the thousand-yard shooters absolutely SWEAR by 6.5-284, so I don't doubt that the 6-point range is viable. I don't know anything about the 6.8 SPC in particular, but Barret's been pretty solid in the past.

Originally the Safir T-14. I think it even uses the same magazines as the .50BEO and the .458 SOCOM. Totally redesigned bolt, though.

Floyd Nice idea, but hardly the first .410 based on an assault rifle. Saiga much? http://www.raacfirearms.com/shotguns.htm Yeah, I was thinking that myself when I first saw it.

Yeah. Pretty cool. AR-15 that could be suppressed, w/o the supersonic boom. = ] I still likes me a .45-70. Much higher pressures and can also use longer booolits.Fresnel I really, REALLY want the .410 upper though. Because... damn. Too bad they haven't hit the states yet. BUT THEY'RE SLATED FOR IMPORT NOW. Some day... They already started. A guy on ARFCom has one. It won't use the 3" shells, though. Note: barrel lengths are the same throughout all versions, I believe.
They can be found on Gunbroker.

Saiga is mostly a shotgun turned rifle.
And a .410 is just gonna piss someone off.

Inquisitor Brock Saiga is mostly a shotgun turned rifle. And a .410 is just gonna piss someone off. You say that, but they make .410 in 00 buck, and several smaller sizes of buckshot as well. Not to mention birdshot, which could prove quite useful out here, for snakes. In short, if .410 wasn't effective, they would have never made the Judge. Or .410, for that matter.

They can be found on Gunbroker. I saw some guy, maybe on ARFCOM, who'd gotten his from a friend overseas, and it was an original Safir. Could that be the guy? Or does he have an actual AT-14?

I've used one of those stupid looking "snake charmer" .410 single shot survival guns to kill rattlesnakes at 7 feet. Best size round if you want to eat the snake instead of blowing it all to hell. The Taurus Judge revolver would work in a pinch.
And if you doubt the utility of using a .410 in a survival situation, watch the following video that features The Judge in close quarters. I want one!
http://www.taurususa.com/video/taurus-theJudge-video.cfm
For the record, rattlesnake makes for fine eating when you fry it. Kind of like cod.

Naw, the guy bought it at his local gun store.Inquisitor Brock And a .410 is just gonna piss someone off. I disagree. A 3" #00 .410 with 5 pellets is listed at 1230, as opposed to 9 #00 for 1250. Sure, there's almost 50% less pellets, but I don't think it'll make that much of a difference at shotgun distances.
