Yeah, the time limit is what keeps me from playing the game (not that it sucks, just that I have anxiety, so it freaks me out).
However, the time limit can be reset when you get the Ocarina and play the song of time, so the "limit" is actually the time left before the moon hits the earth/you have to face off Skull Kid. The whole game is pretty time-oriented, actually (have to meet this person at a certain time, be there at this certain time, etc).
However, if you play the song of time backwards, you slow down the flow of time, so you have more time to do things. But make sure it's normal time when you fight the aliens. *shudders*

Dude, the time limit is teh uber. Anxiousness just adds to the effect :p
And, makes you book it to get certain things done. Like beat Snowhead temple (with all fairy's) in the first day, put the sword in to be forged before the second day starts (two hours to spare, hellz yeah!) then complete the goron race for to get the gold dust to make Gilded Sword! Then head off to Milk Ranch thingy and get the bunny hood before the moon falls.
Yeah, I did all that just yesterday.

dragn99 put the sword in to be forged before the second day starts (two hours to spare, hellz yeah!) I remember bringing my sword in once so close to nightfall that it switched to night while I was in the store. Luckily they took it before the switch. I actually think the time limit makes it better, myself. You don't have as much time for dilly-dallying, and it adds challenge to the game. Plus a schedule means I know when townie #10 will need to talk to me about something, instead of talking to him every time I do something to see if he'll send me on that errand yet.

But good for you.

I got all the main masks, but that was about it. I hid in a Deku Flower when the sun fell. crying

The time limit's not so bad. I've beaten the game in three real days before, and my next project is to complete the Bomber's Notebook and get the Fierce Deity Mask in as few trips back in time as possible. That was some difficult planning.

Pikmin is excellent for this. One mistake, and you should consider yourself lucky if that day doesn't end up being completely useless.
