The Midnight Regiment Marching Band Welcome to West Newark High School. This is one of the best Public High Schools in this side of the state. There are many classes for you to attend here so there is a class for everyone. Also, there are many new programs here at this school such as the new marching band, the Midnight Regiment.
What is the Midnight Regiment? They're one of the newest marching bands to break through the ranks. At least, they were last year. But a new year always bring on new changes. With new students, a new instructor, and nearly brand new Drum Majors, what's going to happen this year? What's going to happen?

Rules For the Roleplay:
-Just to clear up confusion, all roleplayers are in the band. I just thought it would be pointless to have a role play that lasts 2 weeks so I added the school.
-Don't swear every other word
-Do bother me with every little thing.
-Please get on as often as possible. I know it's hard sometimes.
-Please use "" for speaking, and italicize for thinking.
-Three sentence minimum for posts. It's not that hard people.
-writers block is understandable, just don't abuse it.
-Use correct grammar. I don’t want to see posts that look like a 3 year old was mashing on a keyboard.
-Role play in 3rd person
-Don't cyber on my pretty board. I don't want to clean it up. (Pg-13 max)
- I don’t mind swearing but keep the language down.
-Listen to what I say, got it! I'm not god, I'm Satan. (Just kidding...kinda.)
-You may have more than one character but keep it down to 2 or 3 and make sure you actively play as each character.
-If you have more than one character use different colors and specify the color in the application.
-Keep the font size to 9 or 12 because it is neater.
-I may add more, if I choose to.
-Pm Me profiles! And title it something creative using the world "band".
-put a smiley face of your choice at the end of your application PM so I know you read the rules
-Highlight above here.

UniformsYes, yes, I know you all hate them. But admittedly, Midnight doesn't have too bad looking ones. And they aren't the old wool things, so they are a bit less itchy then most of the things that end up coming from the other bands....suckers!Marching Uniforms

We've had these uniforms for a couple of years now, and we liked then better then the black version of the ones that the rest of the band is marching with. That's why they seem a bit different.

Performance This year’s performance is “A Tribute to Our Heroes, Lost and Fallen.” The show begins with the band amidst the headstones of a military cemetery, playing the sorrowful yet resolute melodies of soldiers lost and their families.
Drums pounding like cannon fire and machine guns marks the ensemble’s second piece which depicts the anguish and turmoil all soldiers go through while engaged in combat.
In an attempt to find meaning during these troubling times, we salute our purple heart recipients by depicting internal and external conflict in a melody wrought with suspensions and resolutions.
The band ends the show by celebrating a joyful return of our heroes, those that serve our great country.
The four pieces of music we will be playing for the show are Adagio, Gavorkna Fanfare, Psalm 42, and American Faces. (Just a side note: if you want to see or hear these pieces I will be putting up the scores for them and a video of the actual show along with drill for the show, as this is the show my band did this past year. In the role play, we will just be role play these parts and things like that (obviously))

He`s very emotional, though, so things tend to get him down very easily. You can sometimes find him crying in one of the practice rooms on bad days.

Personality:Adalyn's bubbly and outgoing, and she tends to speak her mind at te most inconvenient times. She'll tell you what she thinks about most things, and she's heavily sarcastic almost always. Despite ebing outspoken and sarcastic, she's nice to enarly everyone, and helps out alot. Mainly incharge of making sure everything goes back in it's correct spot, she's very neat when it comes to her section. SHe's also very protective of her instruments, and has eben known to scream if someone sets something on a keyboard or timpani.

He`s very kind, though, and can help with almost anything pertaining to percussion.

The schedule of classes is basically the same for all of the grades, except the class is different for each grade
1st period – English class (by level)
2nd period – Science class (9th grade - Earth and Space Science, 10th Grade – Biology, 11th grade – Chemistry, 12th grade – Physics)
3rd period – Foreign Language (available languages are: Spanish, Chinese, Latin, French)
4th period – Math (9th grade – Geometry, 10th grade – Algebra 2, 11th grade – Pre Calculus with Trig., 12th grade – Calculus 1)
5th period – Lunch
6th period – History (9th grade – Western Cultures, 10th grade – American History, 11th grade – Economics, 12th grade – American Government)
7th period – Band or Free Period
END OF SCHOOL
Basically when you’re in a class just make stuff up. You don’t need to do any work but just make sure everyone is on the same page before someone makes the bell ring and goes to the next class. Make lunch last as long as you want. As for band practices, They are immediately after school one Mondays and Thursdays. I will announce when we change a day so make sure to read all the posts and catch up before you post.
