Oh my...FFIX....not my favorite game, but I'll have to check my save spot to see... (I only played it once, and that was...a long time ago...).

But I'll make a guess. Since it's Lindblum...um...it's a statue of er...(who's that damn bird...) uh...a chocobo! (that's it!) and Cid's complaining about how bad he looks? *shrugs*

You never actually get to meet one of these birds in the game, the only mention of it is the inscription on the statue itself.
