I never got into Hairy Potter, so I don't know what to tell you.
For someone that's never read the books, the movies are interesting to say the least.

Actually, I think it's because he reads a lot of other fantasy books. He's off in the world of elves and what not. And while thats not necessarily bad, he's kind of shut himself off from other aspects of the fantasy realm.
