http://www.davebarry.com/ -- I'd suggest checking out the blog, since it looks like the columns are limited to subscribers to the Miami Herald's website.
He tends toward sophomoric humor -- for example, if he'd written that essay it'd have had more occurances of the word 'booger' and probably would have taken advantage of the name 'Colonus,' as well as a number of assertions that he is 'not making this up' (and at least some of the time he wouldn't be). Since he's a mainstream newspaper columnist, also, his articles are 'general audience.' Some of his books -- especially Big Trouble, his first novel -- aren't quite so family friendly, though.
*ponders the ramifications of Dave Barry in the Oval Office, and decides the pros probably outweigh the cons*
