I LOVE Japanese food! Always have, always will. I am really excited that one of my residents in the dorm, Yumi, and I are going to a really nice Japanese restaurant for lunch next week.
What are your favorite Japanese foods?
A few of mine are [typical] but I still love them!
Pocky, Sushi, Tonkasu, Miso soup and Tempura! [Mmn] Now I really want some Japanese food. 3nodding

I love Japanese rice cookers, it's perfect every time! My Mom showed me a trick to cooking it though that she learned from her Japanese friend so it comes out nice almost every time! (sometimes I burn it.)

(sometimes I burn it.) We have a Japanese rice cooker, but only my grandmother and aunt know how to work it correctly without making it to soggy/burnt/etc.

Can you believe that the first time I had sushi was last year? I'd never been to a sushi bar before, but my ex and I found one locally. I'd like to take my girlfriend to it some day, even though it's not nearly as amazing as some of the other places in the same area... But the inside of it is very warm colored and is kind of romantic.
Now I prefer the eel rolls xD
Tho I've never had the pickled ginger.
And wasabi is not my friend.
Rice + moi = natural born love affair.

Even though it's probably not counted as very Japanese sounding, it's always at the markets and my favorite Japanese resturants. Pork Cutlet don. Sauteed port cut into strips with onions soy sauce and spices over rice, with egg on top. Sounds strange I know but reeeeallly good. I like Salmon Onigiri too. And of course, Miso Soup. Don't know where I'd be without Miso Soup... or Ramune & Pocky now that I think of it lol.

I only don't like sea food >n< And mostly part of japanese food use products from the sea >n< But... There are a lot of delicious things like the "Don" (Oyako-don, gyuu-don, tonkatsu-don,etc) and Men-rui (Ramen, Udon, Soba, etc), those are two of my favorites heart heart
And the sweets are good too >¬< (Omochi, Daifuku, Manju, Imagawayaki, Taiyaki, Uiro...*¬*)
