Well, my friend, let's call her Mary seriously adores a guy we'll call Mike. The other day I had a very interesting conversation with Mike in which he said he doesn't like Mary but Mary is so happy not knowing... What do I say?

honestly, theres no reason 2 hurt mary, but u dont want her 2 keep obsessing over this guy. take her on a guy hunt, and have her find someone else heart

i like that idea, but in her mind she might have already chosen her guy and there's also the possibility that she becomes suspicious. still try that, but maybe you can do more to get her not only thinking about other guys, but also help her to start obsessing less and doing more. like try to have time where you and her spend time with some guy friends. then maybe later you talk about what you liked and disliked about each of them and then planning another time to hang out with the ones you liked most and thinking of some new invites. this would practice meeting, analyzing, and decision making with guys and it may help her rethink her feelings about mike and you just might be able to avoid hurting her feelings, but odds are you are going to have to break it to her eventually
