Just follow the basic rules please. PM The Character with DERANGED in the title. THIRD PERSON If you don't have WB at least write 2 lines. Description isn't that hard. Have Fun! :]
Wind tickles the perfect crisp grass of Sunny Heights Mental Hospital. The residents here all have interesting and deep stories of their ourney there. Except there's always rules. The first being: Never ask how another has come to be here. After all the happy little nurses don't want someone to breakdown in the friendly little hallways. Your point here is up to you. You're either one of us, or one of them. Pick a side.
Gaia Name: Name: Age: Gender: Intro/Personality: Reason for staying at Sunny: [optional]
Doctor/Nurses.
Residents.
Gaia Name:Shortee25 Name: Kia Anderson Age: 17 Gender: Female Intro/Personality: She has happy moments most of the time. She can be pretty sarcastic and blunt. She enjoys someone with a sense of humor, but would easily spend a whole day staring out a window that actually being social. Reason for staying at Sunny: Attempt at suicide while drugged
Gaia Name: -some_dude_on_computer- Name: Hector Evans Age: 17 Gender: Male Intro/Personality: Hector can be a great guy when he's in the mood. He can be funny, happy, and normal. But when he sees or hears certain things, he snaps. When someone comes running towards him, he gets scared and runs to his room. If he sees something sharp, he freaks out and throws it out the window. Or into the fire. Reason for staying at Sunny: He saw his parents get murdered right in front of him... now he thinks that anyone coming towards him with something that could hurt him is going to kill him.
Gaia Name: Just Before An Eclipse Name: Mattie, Madeline, Mad and Matt Age: 15 Gender: female Intro/Personality: When young Mattie was 7 years old she told her mother she had started hearing voices. Her mother simply told her to stop lying to her and went back to painting her nails. So Mattie learned the wrong definition of 'lying,' and became friends with the boy who was talking to her, Matt. When she had entered middle school, Mattie's grades began dropping. Especially when Matt would talk with her instead of paying attention. So Madeline came to her. She began talking to her, telling her the answers to questions, and helping her understand particularly tricky math problems. She enjoyed learning and would pay attention in class while Mattie and Matt could sit back talking to each other. With these two wonderful people, Mattie didn't need or won't any other friends. In elementary and middle school the children were used to her staring off into space lost in thought, but upon entering high school the other students became crueler. They started teasing her, laughing at her back as she ran away in tears. Though Matt and Madeline tried to comfort her, they were also laughed at when they tried to stand up for her. So a fourth personality appeared: Mad. She snapped at one of the laughing boys, wrapping her hands around his neck, screaming at him to keep laughing. Though he was fine, the guidance counselor felt that she needed to talk to Mattie. At first she didn't believe her, but after many, many sessions she advised her mom to place her in Sunny Heights Mental Hospital to help her. Reason for staying at Sunny: Dissociative identity disorder Appearance:Mattie has shoulder length strawberry-red hair, which ever since Madeline taught her how, she usually keeps braided in two french braids. She is small statured, and she rarely meets people's eyes. Her nose is small, and her lips are thin, but her eyes are large and round. Normally they are a soft green color, but they change whenever she lets another personality take over. ((She discovered this because the boy Mad attacked kept claiming her eyes turned red.)) Matt's eyes are a darker green, while Madeline's is a violet. Mad's eyes are a sharp red, and the first time she saw them, they even scared Mattie.

Kia emerged from her room silently. She blinked because she had forgotten how bright it was in the hallway. They seemed to do A good job of that here. She had just got of a couple day suspension from the common room for frightening someone. Now that she was "privilaged" again she decided to walk to the farthest cushioned seat. There were others sprinkled around, chatting amongst themselves. Whether or not she joined in was up to her mood, and today wasn't one of those days. After being seated she watched everyone, studying their habits. There was a rumor of some transfers being made so she sat silently and watched the door for "new family".

Hector was in the common room, too. He was sitting in the seat closest to the hallway. That way, he could sprint to his room if anything disturbed his fragile tranquility. Hector generally avoided all conversation unless it was someone he knew personally. He often carried around a white blindfold in case he knew he was going somewhere with... items with harmful potential. It was hanging out of his back pocket. There were other patients that often stole it and played 'monkey in the middle' until the 'monkey in the middle' hit the last person who caught it. He looked around the room and sighed. Hector was safe for the next few moments. But most of the time, he was always safe, but in his mind, he was always in danger.

Kia's eyes caught a glimpse of the guy she had seen repeatedly over the last week or so while she wasn't confined. He had been there when she had upset another patient. Her eyes rested on the blindfold he carried around regularly before moving to his somewhat troubled face. Hmmm, paranoid much?

Hector felt someone staring at him, so he looked around to see who it was. It was that girl that upset someone who was emotionally disturbed... He had got that weird feeling when someone was staring at him. Hector quickly broke eye contact, and then went back into his own little world.

Kia smirked when he broke the eye contact. She always liked the slight social discomfort she could give people. Standing she moved towards his chair slowly, almost like a snake. After sitting in an open spot net to him she crossed her legs and started staring at his face again, "Well, well, well..."

Hector felt uncomfortable. He drew his skinny legs up into the chair and looked at the white wall next to him. Lucky him, his chair was next to the wall.

"Not a talker then? That's a great habit in here. You can look at me ya know, I won't bit that hard." she nodded her head to her own beat smiling a little at herself. She could feel his jumpyness just radiating off of him. "Must be a shame not to say anything at all. Born that way or you just choose it?"

Hector turned his head, but didn't exactly look at her; instead, he was looking at the floor. "I can't tell you."

"No need to I just got the answer." she smirked again and leaned over the chair slightly. Breaking out a brighter, sneakier smile she rested her head on her hand, "Well then. You aren't exactly new here...." Leaning in closer she dropped her voice, "Just how did you get in here anyway?" she asked it although it was a known rule not to. No wonder she speant most of her time stuck in her room. After all, misery does love it's company.

"Tell me something," he said, looking around to see if there were any doctors. There weren't. Hector leaned in close to Kia. "Have you ever seen your own parents being killed before your eyes?" he asked in a low voice.

"Of coarse not." smiled Kia with a cold grin. She thought and shook her head still smiling, "I wouldn't be able to stand someone else doing something I would gladly do myself. Give me a knife, I want them to feel their final moments." she whispered before sitting back in her seat and glancing back at the door.

Hector quickly scooted his wall back to the wall as close as it would go and faced it as he turned white. This girl had some serious problems.

((I am going to treat each of Mattie's personalities as their own entities. Only one person at a time can speak to the outside world by taking over the body, but they can speak to each other. It will be distinguished with italics. I will try to include each personality so you can know what their reactions are. They each will have their own individual colors: Mattie Madeline Matt Mad. I really hope it doesn't get too confusing for everyone, myself included.))
The lobby door opened again, and a nurse guided a new strawberry-blond girl into the room, her hand just between the young woman's shoulder blades as she pushed her in. She cleared her throat twice before clapping her hands together sharply, the sudden sound getting the patients' full attention. "Hello everyone, we have a new member to our family to welcome to our family," her voice had a false happiness to it, and the lie seemed to seep into every part of the room, infecting it. "Everyone say hello to Madeline." She made an exaggerated waving motion as if no one in the room was smart enough to understand the concept of hello.
"Mattie." The young girl said quietly. "My name is Mattie. Madeline's the smart one, I'm just Mattie." She tried to explain, since her guidance counselor told her to be as honest as she can.
Madeline whispered softly in her head, If you want me to talk to her, I can, I'm much better at explaining things as well as winning any argument that may occur if she doesn't believe us. Madeline did not like this situation that Mad had put them in. She did not blame her, somebody needed to stop the bullying, but this place did not give a good impression. Last night Madeline had looked up Sunny Heights Mental Hospital on the internet, and everything was happy, except for one blog of a patient. He claimed they had done horrible things to him. Madeline could not tell if he was just crazy, or if it was true, but she told Mad to keep an eye out anyway.
The nurse seemed to growl as she yanked Mattie's braided pigtails down, jerking her head up. "Madeline does not exist, you are one person Mattie, are you going to have to go to 'time out' to learn that?" There was a tinge in her angry voice, almost as if she wanted to send Mattie into isolation, as if she enjoyed doing so.
Without any hesitation, Mad took over Mattie's body, growling in response to the abuse. She had learned some control, she didn't want to give the nurse the pleasure she was seeking. "Let go of me," her eyes had shifted to a dark red and she jerked her head down again, so she didn't have to look up at the nurse.
The nurse pointed a finger at Mad looking angry and almost frustrated, as if she wanted to hurt her but couldn't. "Listen here young lady, you're going to have to learn some manners and I'm going to make sure you have a appointment with your therapist soon." When she spoke, another emotion showed: fear. For a moment she had seen Mad's blazing red eyes, and she now believed that Mattie was possessed. "Now go sit down and play a little." With that she left the room quickly.
Matt blew a raspberry at the door, laughing. Way to go, Mad, you've kept us safe again. He mentally high-fived the newest personality, cheering her on.
Madeline sighed, almost weary. I get the feeling that you are going to have to have to do it again...a lot. She mentally shook her head, and sighed again, Let's just sit down and try not to attract attention.
Mattie walked over to an empty chair, relaxing in its softness. She opened the book she had been carrying and Madeline began to read. Mattie scanned the room, looking at the other patients. How crazy were these people? Would they hurt us?
((Wow...that is so colorful, I think it's making my eyes hurt...um...I might change it somehow...if you have a suggestion, I'm listening.))
