This is where I post help if I need it, right? Forgive me if I'm wrong...I don't post threeads very much.
As the thread titles says, I'm stuck with pinch harmonics. But...In kind of a peculiar way.
I can do pinch harmonics pretty easily on command. The thing is, when I hold the pick in the way I do for pinch harmonics, it makes every note I play into a pinch harmonic. Is this normal? Am I supposed to change the way I hold a plectrum everytime I want to do a normal note and a pinch harmonic?
Oh, this only applies to my EAD strings, not the GBe strings...For some reason, I have no problem on those.

With the way I do it, all I have to do is tilt my thumb more towards the strings, and then after I just put it back to normal. Maybe you hold your pick to close to the tip when pinching. Just tilt your thumb away from the strings and see what happens.
And the reason it only happens on strings 4,5 and 6 is because they're thicker. They catch the skin better. 1, 2, and 3 you miss the string after you get it.

When I pinch a note, it's more the way my wrist flicks into it that makes my thumb catch the string. You could try tilting your wrist a little differently, but I think the guy above me said it pretty well.

Oh, I think I see the problem now. Thanks. In my defence, I would like to say that I am left handed, playing a right handed guitar! Just kidding. I'll try those suggestions.
Ah! That wrist flicking thing works really well for me! Yeah, I was holding the pick really awkward before, I think...About a millimetre or two of the pick extended past my fingers.
