Prau heaved an ever so slightly wheezing sigh as he pressed himself back into the plush armchair he had pretty much started living in for the past couple of months or so. All this writing was getting.. Even more tedious than it had been before.. He missed his old routine and was convinced that he had forgotten how to perform his most important rituals for the foundations of raising his undead hoards. But.. His workshop was draughty and he had been forbidden and once or twice physically restrained and marched back to his rooms when he had tried to get in to see that things were in order, or just to try and do some real work to relieve his boredom and focus his mind on something other than how much he hurt.

He'd been sick. Very very sick, and it had lasted for a worrying amount of time, a good two or three months had seen the youngest of the G'eld brothers with yellowed eyes and a strangely pale complexion. For the first month he hadn't even wanted to get out of his bed, as dull as it was for the fear it would spark an unstoppable fit of coughing which in turn just plain made him hurt. As he had recovered over the coming months he had eventally become more and more restless, and though the doctors did encourage him to get out of bed and exercise himself gently, he had obviously, as mentioned before, been forbidden from going back to work on his various projects in case he let himself get lost in his work and exhausted himself into an even worse state of health.

At laest now he was on the mend, he grudgingly thought to himself as he caught a reflection of himself across the room in one of many elaborate mirrors that had been put in to make the large shelved room appear unessecerilly bigger. The usual bright red colour had almost completely returned to his eyes. There was still an ugly tinge of yellow clinging to them around the edges of his iris, betraying that he was still in fact recovering. His hair was a bit of a mess and he was still wrapped up in his warm bed-clothes. He'd given up attempting to change into his usual attire. It made him feel horribly cold and once had had fidgeted into it and done everything up he felt so drained that all he'd wanted to do was change back into something more comfortable and lie down again. He grumbled to himself just a little as he took a long sip of the comfortingly hot drink he had brought with him, it soothed his throat nicely.

That was what his illness had started to seem like now, towards the end of its grip on him, something like a horrible cold, flu maybe. It wasn;t threatening anymore but it still left him feeling fairly weak. Not weak enough to want to be in bed all the time any more, but not apparently strong enough to do anything that he really really wanted to do.. Which is how he had found himself in the library.. Cataloging every-damn-single one of the tomes that the family owned.. Every-damn-single one of them now in a proper place on a shelf.. Every-damn-single one has been put back in perfect alphabetical order.. And he was very close to finishing the extremely long and extremely dull list of volumes they had.. And where they could be found.. And even what category of book they were.
He had a feeling it was going to have given him some form of OCD.. Anyone so much as touching one of the books now was going to wind up recieving an earful.. He smirked a little at that as he tossed his pen down, taking a another long sip of the hot liquid after a dry cough.

Bel couldn't help but shiver, even under the thick cloak he had wrapped around his shoulders the air in the caves outside was far chiller than he had been used to for the past few years.. years... it had been a very long time since he had resided here.. not as long as you might think, looking at the changes that had come over the shy and sweet, (though more unnerving than you might think) little fire mage. He was still diminutive, but his figure was more defined, his facial features had matured a little, and his hair had become tameable. Belyrr Zau'Und had grown up, and the end result had to be said to be rather eye catching.

The purpose for his return home had also been fulfilled however. He had grown stronger. The magic that flowed in his veins had been allowed to mature in the fiery land of his own tribe, and with it his control, and the intensity of his flames had grown as well. He was proud of his achievements, but had long been longing for the day a summons would arrive to call him back to the house that he really longed to belong to once again.. the G'eld family residence... it was where he had always felt the most useful, the most required... and the most wanted as well... there was one face in particular that he longed to see, one set of eyes that he longed to see him.. and one person alone that he wanted to find himself once again in the companny of. Prau G'eld. His closest friend for a great while had barely left his thoughts since the day he had left the west dark to return to the fiery south.

After a few moments pause at the door to the house, the summons he had received granted him access to the halls within. The confines of the house were significantly warmer than the area outside, and where the fires that should have been burning to keep the place warm had been neglected, Bel now saw fit to reignite them, magical flame would work better for it needed little or no fuel to sustain aside from the will of the caster. A spell longer took the dainty male to the room that he could once again claim as his own, and very little time passed before his meagre amount of possessions had been unpacked.

Now the important task could begin. Discarding the cloak he had been wearing the pyromancer set off down the corridor once again to search for a much missed companion. A few questions after the first couple of ports of call, the bed chamber, the workshop and the kitchens were searched and proved empty told Bel more or less what he needed to know... Prau had been unwell it seemed.. which worried him, but had been content as of late to spend his days in the library, studying, Bel cold only presume.. but the location seemed likely none the less.. the Library... maybe not the most romantic spot for re aquaintance... but at the moment it didn't matter... no... not in the slightest....

Finally, and at very long last, a fast paced walk down the corridors brought him to the door to the library... he'd not really been in there since he'd found the need to hunt out a book for Arach while they collaborated on some project or another. A quick scan of the room told him what he wanted to know however... There, sitting on a fairly plush looking chair in the main room, at a desk was Prau... he'd been longing to see him for such a great time now that it was almost too much for Bel to finally see him sitting there...

With a delighted noise he could hold himself back no longer even if he wanted to, he moved quite quickly across the room, a trail of white cobweb lace streaming out behind him, and let himself flop to the ground by the side of the other drow, his face pressed firmly against Prau's legs... "Oh Lloth..." he almost sobbed to himself, "I am so pleased to be here... to be with you.. so pleased... praise the Goddess... I'm home..."

Prau had sat up a little straighter when he had heard the door open fairly quietly beyond his sight. The main entrance was behind him and slightly to the side, and he saw no real point in turning to look, he imagined that it was either a servant bringing him another hot drink or possibly the healer back once more to make sure he was behaving himself and not secretly summoning the hoards of hell to devour her on sight.. He smiled very darkly at that one. If he had access to the parts he needed then by Lolth.. That healer would soon be joining his minions ranks..
He was startled out of his dark musing by the sound of rapid foot-falls which made his eyes widen as he just began to turn to make sure that he wasn't about to fall victim to an assassin infiltrating the house when the foot-falls turned into a soft of shuffle and someone, or indeed something, attached itself very firmly to him leg. He made a startled noise, a very hoarse sounding startled noise and gripped the arms of the chair for a moment, still wide eyed, while his brain desperately tried to catch up with his current situation.

He looked down at the.. Well the fairly small person that was talking into his leg.. He raised an eyebrow, the hair.. He didn't recognise who they were by the style and.. Well everyone he knew of save one or two had snowy hair like himself, so that certainly wasn't helping. It was the voice that he struggled on. It sounded achingly familiar but he couldn't quite place who it was that it had belonged to. They felt disturbingly warm for a drow.. Which suggested..
He frowned, lifting a hand and patting it down on the small drows hair as slowly his brain started to connect little bits and pieces together.. The voice.. The warm.. Ariadne had mentioned, grudgingly, someone returning to the house.. The letters.. And that voice again as he stumbled back into his memories of a few years back when he finally managed to sputter out a hoarse, "B-Bel!?" His eyes rather wide with surprise as his other hand soon joined the other, stroking over the paler than he remembered, silky hair and the slight shoulders.
He felt a fool for not recognising his favoured little pyromancer sooner.

"Y-You should have sent word.. I'd have tried infiltrating my.. My workshop and summoning you a hoard of minions to roast.." He managed to croak out, successfully, for now, fighting back some extra moisture threatening to escape his eyes as he smiled down at Bel. He hadn't realised how awful his voice had sounded. He hadn't really spoken to anyone on a long while. But it was Bel! Bel was back! He felt a little giddy he was so pleased, he'd eventually managed to bury the odd empty ache he'd felt when he had discovered that Bel had first left without a goodbye, but now.. It was as if it had never really been there to begin with.

With a delighted noise at the recognition in his dearest friends words Bel pressed his face a little more against Prau’s leg for a moment. It was so wonderful to see him again! So wonderful! So perfectly, amazingly and totally wonderful… he’d missed him so much and now here he was. So many times he’d dreaded to hear that the unrest that was so prolific in the west had started up again and his gentle necromancer had found himself the victim of some hoard or another… he knew the fears were irrational, but when you missed someone to the point of distraction it was hard to ever actually put a positive spin on being separated from them.

He adored Prau far more than he had ever thought it possible to feel for anyone, and certainly far more than he himself had ever felt for anyone ever before. But by Lloth did he sound unwell…. “Prau…” he lifted his head to peer up at the older drow, “Oh Prau you’re unwell! Your eyes… they’re yellowed and dear me your voice!” He made a noise of quiet distress and pushed himself up a little without thinking anything of it at all he simply caught a hold of the arms of the chair and pulled himself onto the other Drows lap, sitting on his legs and leaning against the arm and the back of the seat. “I should have come home sooner…” he stated, the deep fondness he felt for the other showing very clearly in his tender words and gentle tone, Bel had never been gifted in hiding what he felt… “I would have taken care of you…” he lifted a hand, his cheeks still shining with tears of happiness at seeing the male he was now seated upon. “I go away for a few years and look what happened…” his voice softened yet again as his fingers brushed gently over Prau’s cheek. “I’ll just have to make sure I do better job of keeping an eye on you this time… huh…” with his now full lips curled up into a small smile he let his fingers catch hold of some of the white hair… “at least I can keep you warm now…” It was true, his hands were as warm as they ever had been. “How come you got sick..?”

He was like a living hot rock.

“I missed you…” he murmured as he toyed with the soft white strands. “I wish I hadn’t been away for so long… it felt like forever…” it was all he could do to stop himself from simply throwing himself at the other Drow again, he loved him, he really, really loved him, and he desperately wanted to tell him so… but before he took the risk he had to make sure that things had not changed… both between them and for Prau… it would terrible blow to admit his feelings only to find out that Prau had his heart set on someone already… he wouldn’t open himself up to hurt in that foolish a manner.

It was only a matter of moments until the older drow had wrapped his arms snugly around his much missed companion. He did not voice any complaints for Bels lap-invasion, and instead he leaned forward to softly brush his nose and lips of the younger males forehead.
He gave him an apologetic smile, "My voice.. Yes, it's awful, I know.. I'll try not to speak unnecessarily, dear Bel." He croaked out, stroking at the bared skin of Bels back almost reverently.
He was just so warm! His fingers were not cold but he certainly felt he could appreciate being just a few degree's warmer.

"I do not recall precisely how I caught this, Bel. It could have been something to do with my latest trip to the surface. In fairness, my health hadn't been all too great since you left.. I.." He ducked his head a little pressing his cheek to the other males warm palm, "I missed you too much I think." He admitted quietly. It was all he could do to resist turning his face just a little more to press a gently kiss to the pyromancers warm palm.

His little Bel.. He had grown up so much in those years he had been away. He could almost feel the warm, dry power of fire-magics that flowed all the more strongly through him. All the more beautiful and deadly.

"Bel.." He started after a moment of fond looks and touches, "You won't be leaving again so soon, will you?"
PostPosted: Tue Mar 31, 2009 8:56 pm

"I'll never leave you again..." the vow came easily to his lips, and he smiled happily upon speaking it. He meant the words... unless he was dragged away kicking and screaming with only the hope of rescue in his heart he would not leave. He placed both his hands on the necromancers cheeks and just left them there a moment, his deep red eyes fixed on the yellow tinged ones of the male he was using as a seat.

"Well... you may have missed me but I'm back now. So you can just get better and have done with it..." his lips quirked up into a cheeky little smile as he studied his dearest friends face for a moment longer, his hands still resting as they had been, on his cheeks, his thumbs brushing slowly back and forth under his eyes, over his cheekbones.

"Were you too lonely..?" One part of him.. the truly gentle part of him hoped that Prau would say no, that he'd say he had been happy, that he'd been with people he cared for and had been fine... but the other part was desperate to hear that he had been longed for... missed, yes he knew that... but wanted..? Well... he had the idea that his dear friend had longed for his companny, but he needed to be sure. He'd already decided not to risk his feelings until he was a little more certain of where he actually stood with Prau.

He knew where he wanted to be... but one did have to be through about these things...

Too long, however, had been spent now studying that much missed face with its kind, if currently sickly eyes, and its lovely gentle features... he just couldn't help himself... he sat up just a little more in Prau's lap, and pressed his lips to his face, planting a soft little kiss right between the eyes he had been looking into moments before.

No.. he'd definitely not be leaving Prau... in fact... unless it was to fetch something for him it may be quite a while until he was willing to leave his dear friends side at all... he most certainly needed looking after after all... and if there was no significant other to do the job yet... well. Bel would quite happily fill that role, in every sense of the meaning.

Prau sat quietly, even as his lap was all the more thoroughly invaded, and his face touched, stroked and eventually kissed. He just smiled gently, his eyes closing at the gentle contact, not realising until now how much he had missed and even craved this sort of attention.. From.. Well, This particular person.
He hummed softly, lifting his hands to gently encircle the younger drow sitting it his lap, his hands stroking at the curve of his back, one travelling up a little then just resting there, ensuring that the other could not escape now, if he had wanted to.

"I'm glad, Bel. I don't want you to disappear on me again.. It.." He opened one eye for a moment, leaning forwards to just rest their foreheads together, "It was not pleasant at all to find you missing. I was.. Well I was rather lonely without you. I couldn't believe just how empty the workshop was without you.." He admitted croakily, in something of a mumble, closing his eyes with a tinge on embarrassment at the rather soft admittance.

"It's so very nice to have you back again.." He stated after a long moments pause, gently nuzzling the younger male. He was just so warm! He remembered how he'd had to stop using the fur throws in his rooms when Bel had come to stay for a night or two with him, when sleep evaded the much smaller (then), male. He was fairly certain that the overheating would be worse than ever now his little Bel had returned..
Wait.. His..?
PostPosted: Fri Apr 10, 2009 3:24 pm

Bel couldn't help the small smile that was still lifting his lips at Prau's reactions to his attentions. He was such a sweet soul, for a drow at least. Though honestly, he was pretty damn sure that he was sweet in relation to many other races as well. He had his drowish side to him of course, but there was definitely something very good natured about him.

He just adored Prau, and there was no real way he could argue about that one.

"I have no reason to ever leave again... my only reason for wanting to be anywhere is... well... right here with me..." His words had fallen fairly quiet as he spoke. He'd let his eyes slip closed as well, but hadn't felt any need to move his forehead away from Prau's. He was uneasy about his admittance, of course... but he was in no way embarrassed by it.

A small chuckle slipped from the still rather diminutive males lips, he had a feeling he wasn't going to be going anywhere... "I was going to ask if you wanted me to get you anything, my kind friend.." he murmured after the chuckle finally drifted away, "But it seems that I'm not going to be going anywhere... not that I find that something to complain about. I rather like being close to you again as it happens." He let his fingers curl back into the long pale hair again, "Though if you can think of anything I will gladly go and fetch it for you... if I can actually bring myself to leave, should you let me go..." He wasn't so sure he could...

Prau couldn't help the broader smile that crossed his features as he quietly listened to Bel's soft words, as pressed together as they were. He hummed a little, the sound not as scratchy sounding as his voice, and tightened his arms fractionally around the younger male.

Was he.. Trying to admit something to him..? It felt almost tantalisingly that it was the case, meaning that Prau would also have to be admitting to certain truths if it was the case..

"Well, perhaps it is a good thing that the one that that I wish for the most.. Is right here and telling me that they also have no desire to be elsewhere..?" He gave Bel's nose another gentle nuzzle, his fingers gently shifting over Bel's back as he shifted to press the gentlest of kisses to the small males cheek as he felt the most gentle tugging on his hair as it was played with.
"Indeed I think that I have all that I require right at this moment."
PostPosted: Sat Apr 11, 2009 9:53 pm

"Well, if you have all you need then there is no reason for me to free your legs then... in fact.." Bel felt his lips lift into a slightly cheeky smile. "I think it might be better if you stayed.. can't have you wandering off to do more harm to yourself.. finding coughs and sniffles in all the chilly nooks and crannies..." He did however let himself flop down again, sitting properly in Prau's lap rather than leaning up a little... he was forced to look slightly up at his friend once again, and was reminded once more just how little in stature he was compared to his friend...

He wasn't sure how to go about furthering what he'd started to say... He wanted to, and Paru's comments had certainly been encouraging... but there was this little flutter of anxiety welling up inside him at the thought of actually giving in and telling his little secret..

He was almost certain things would go well... very well... in fact they may even lead to him being able to steal more than just the one kiss he was hoping for from the other Drow...

For now though, another tangent..

"Where are you sleeping Prau...?" He queried, his fingers still combing through his friends hair, "Because I do want to make sure the room and bed are warm enough for you before you settle down tonight.." he got a thoughtful little look on his face... "And I would quite like to sit in with you, if of course you'll allow the companny.." Sitting in with could cover curling up with right...? Right..?

Prau grimaced a little at the teasing warning, he'd heard that so so often over the past few months it was untrue.
"Indeed, dear Bel.. The nooks and crannies of my workshop, no doubt. I have been banned from there, and many other wings of the house, for that matter.. It's made me feell.. A little cooped up to say the least." He smiled a little sadly. He really had been bored out of his skull, pestered by healers and well wishers to his own detriment, it felt like.

He gave Bel a little squeeze almost immediately after he had spoken.
"I'm sorry, Bel, me dear one. I should not be taking my frustrations out on you.." He apologised, most sincerely, though he had not really spoken out much at all regarding his situation. It was forever going to be his nature, worrying that he would offend people.

"And sleeping..?" He snuggled his face close to Bel once more, pressing his nose to the soft white locks, "In my chambers, as usual, my dear one." He smiled softly, "As warm as they are, I'm sure they could have done a better job..?"
PostPosted: Sun Apr 12, 2009 4:53 pm

"Stop being silly.." the words were accompanied by a finger tapping twice down onto the end of Prau's nose. "All you did was grumble a little about what sounds like the attentions of over bearing healers and people trying to help you when you don't really want it..." He smiled, leaning forward and just brushing his noses against Prau's cheek, leaning forward a tiny bit more a moment later to snuggle their cheeks together. He just adored the idea of cuddling with him, being close to him.. it was so nice....

"You need to stop saying sorry for everything... and as for warm... well, I'll make sure your room is really cosy tonight. I'll sit in with you for a while as well I think, as long as you'll put up with me being there.." He chuckled, nosing his way across Paru's cheek again. "I don't think I trust them to look after you.. my silly, sweet... lovely friend..." At that point, and almost without realising he'd done it he simply let his lips brush over the other males, it wasn't a hard kiss, it was gentle, a brush, then a moment of pressure keeping them together and then he leant back, his eyes widening distinctly...

"Oh dear..." he stated, lifting a hand, his fingers lifting to cover his mouth which had formed a silent 'Oh' as he looked at Prau.. "I'm... uhm..." He gave him a slightly thoughtful look... "...sorry...? Maybe...?" He wasn't sure if he needed to be..

Prau sighed once again, pressing his forehead to Bels hair after he was very gently chided for his silliness, "You have no idea, my dear one.. They simply will not let me be.. Always checking on me, never letting me be useful.. I'm suprised that I have not started climbing the walls like the drider yet.." He closed his eyes, gently nuzzling at the silky strands of hair against his skin.
He inhaled.. Bel smelt.. Warm, dry and just.. It was hard to place, but it was altogether pleasant and calming.

He smiled just a little at Bel's next words however, "They did do a good job, Bel.. They just.. Don't seem to have realised that I am now a lot better than I was. I am well enough to walk now, and well enough to feel bored.. They don't trust me not to exert myself, unfortunately.." He paused a moment again as Bel shifted against him to press their cheeks together, and he was more than happy to rub back, the smile broadening a little once more, "And I would love for nothing more than you to stay with me Bel.. For.. More than the duration of my illness.." He tried, tentatively, "And.." He stopped short as Bel fidgeted away from him rather.. Abruptly..

"You're sorry..?" He asked, dumbly for a moment, his brain still not quite as up to speed.. He reached a hand up to his cheek.. Where, ahh, Bel had.. Had he..? His eyes widened fractionally, He had, hadn't he!?
"Bel..? If that's what.. You.. And I.. Uhm.." He tried, his extra years and experiences of life really not helping him any in his current situation.. He had always been a fairly shy person.. He was not always good with words but, he wanted desperately to tell Bel that he did not mind the kiss.. That he had been waiting for it, or for the oppertunity to return the favour to Bel in turn..

Instead he tightened his arms which had gone a little slack around the young mage during their talk and the lap invasions. He drew Bel back up to him with a kind expression, a hand cradling the back of Bels head as he gently leaned forward to bump his nose against Bel's forehead.
"Dear one.."
PostPosted: Tue Apr 28, 2009 10:04 pm

Suddenly Bel couldn't help but laugh! They were truly as bad as each other! He utterly terrified of being shunned, and Prau seemingly unable to actually make the words fall from his lips in the correct order. But... the point they were both trying to make seemed to be the same...

"No.." the reply was very quiet, a small smile on his lips. "My dear one..."

He lifted his hands to Prau's cheeks again with a very very fond smile on his lips. He felt... shy... which was strange in itself. He would not have thought twice about kissing someone else, in fact he wouldn't even actually have thought once about it... he'd just not do it.. the only person he would think about kissing was right here in front of him, and somehow, well... he was sure his cheeks would feel even warmer than their usual elevated heat would allow for..

He actually felt shy...

Did he look okay..? Was he pushing things too fast..? Was he really Prau's type..? Was he getting all of this wrong..? Oh by the Goddess he just loved him so much! He had longed for him for so long and now that he had him he was terrified that something was going to happen which would snatch his beloved from his arms again.

"Prau... You're...I.." He paused, laughing quietly again. "Oh my I can't seem to say what I wish to.. I mean.. it's you.. everything is you.. you're.. my... my all.. I missed you every moment... and.. and.." He paused, closing his red eyes... "I care so much.. I.. I love you... you stupid.. shy.. darling, dead monster summoning sweetheart..." He pressed his lips to Prau's cheek again, once twice, then a third time... he'd kiss him after that, on the lips if Prau seemed even slightly receptive to the gesture...

He couldn't suppress the embarrassed little chuckle as he sat there with his lovely Bel, as they both realised just how ridiculous they were being. It was true! They both did seem to feel the same about one another but.. Well they were both being more than a little silly about saying what they both so desperately wanted to..
Until.. Well, Bel said it!
He loved him.
And he knew that he loved Bel as well..
He felt.. Emboldened by the little kisses to his cheek, those soft words, the necromancer decided that now was the best time to take action, and with no words and a gentle smile on his lips he leant forwards and claimed his little pyromancers lips for his own, pulling back for just a moment to reply,
"And I love you also, my dearest Bel." Before he claimed them once again.

It felt.. Very good to take more control of the situation in-fact.. He knew that he could trust the little pyromancer to be mindful of his very un-drow like feelings and his gentler disposition, he knew that Bel would not be hurtful to him, though when he first met Bel he had been a very unstable little youngling..
Indeed, now that he thought about it.. Did he really have to worry as to what Bel would think of him? That was what love was, surely. TO accept the other for what they were wholly. He certainly knew that he accepted Bel for what and who he was and would be, and he trusted Bel to feel the same.
