Today I ran 5 kilometers on a treadmill at the gym. I finished in 40 minutes 5 seconds. ^_^ My goal is to complete a running race of a 5k by my birthday in May. I think I'm off to a pretty good start.

Hmm... I wonder how fast -I- could run 5 kilometers... though, I wonder how long 5 kilometers is? I live in the US, we use miles. >.o

Oops! I forgot to convert it in my post. 5k is euqivalent to 3.1 miles. I'm from the US too, but there are lots of small races in towns near me in the spring/summer and I want to run in one before I turn 25 in a few months. ^_^

so i ran it today again, for the first time since last week, and i made it in 40:35. a little slower, but i don't think an extra 25 seconds matters too much. it's still really close to the other time. hooray!
and i started drinking milk to get calcium and vitamin d again.

Not bad blossom. How's the training going at the moment? Or have you done a race yet?
Its amusing to see a yank using the metric system, not all of you are dumb razz
I know my standard walking speed is about 6km/h (i have long legs and a long stride) so that means I could walk 5km in about 50 minutes. Only 10 minutes off your running speed xD

That's awesome, Blossom! Excercise should be a large part of everyone's daily routine. I need to start running... not 5 km, given. That's a bit much for me. ^^; Kudos to you!
