Mine - I’d call it a U [suitable for all ages] but i suppose there’s a lot of cartoony violence.
Rating: 9/10

I love this film! After all the exposure it got on Gaia, I wasn’t sure if it would live upto the hype. The trailer looked great, and you know what? The film outdid even the trailer’s promises biggrin
I love kid’s films anyway, especially when they’re funny, but this film had real heart that you rarely ever see. The visuals were excellent - colourful and crisp, and the martial arts scenes were delivered with amazing quality with regards to Coreography, camera angles and action. Like you’re watching a modern adult real life martial arts film. Even better, they occupy a Chinese landscape with respect, delving deeper than just clichés.
Po is extremely lovable and someone we can all empathise with, and Jack Black acting is top notch. In fact, the voice actors were all of very great quality - yet again almost as if it’s a life action film. In short- all the characters are great.
My personal favourite is Master Oogwey the high master and old turtle. He’s so sweet and has a little personal chord with me because he spouts lots of Buddhist ideology/wisdom, which makes me feel all fuzzy :3 Look out for the hilarious scene with him and the candles.
Anyway, I relaise this review’s a bit disjointed but, in short, give it a watch. You’ll not regret it.
A truly upbeat, fun and lovely film biggrin
