Ugh! Lately I've REALLY been wanting to get another alto sax! I mean, I love Ducky, but I hate carrying him home from school if I want/need to practice. >.>
I really want a sterling silver alto, but it's more than $7,ooo! gonk
My older brother has two trumpets; he keeps one at school and the other at home. Granted, the one he keeps at school wasn't very expensive, and the other one at home was given to him by my mom's friend, I think.
My first and only saxophone, formally known as Ducky, cost my parents around $1,ooo. But I would absolutely LOVE to have that sterling silver sax. T^T
So do you have 2+ of the same instrument? Is it worth having more than one, or is it just a hassle? Also, there's one thing I would love to know. Is Yanagisawa a good brand? Ducky's a Leblanc, and he's super reliable, but would a Yanagisawa be just as good?
By the way, if I ever get that sax, I'm naming it Lavi, after the coolest exorcist from D Gray-man. <3

I have two. A student model flute, and a beginner pro flute.
The pro is the one I use most, and I will use the other one if I don't want to drag myself down to the practice rooms, or if my pro is in the repair shop. I think it's a really useful investment.
I don't know about Yanagisawa in saxophones. Usually, though, Japanese brands are some of the best ones you can get.
You'd have to ask a saxophonist, though.
Never seen D Gray-man, but that sounds like a kick-a** name.

A cello, 3 violins, 2 violas, 2 trumpets, a saxaphone, etc...
Not exact numbers, I forget what he said he had XD
But yeah...nobody in his house plays viola wtf. ._.;

Sounds like my former piano teacher. He had saxes, a drumset, pianos, a piccolo, flutes, trumpets, a cello, violins, and waaay too much free time. xP

Sounds like my former piano teacher. He had saxes, a drumset, pianos, a piccolo, flutes, trumpets, a cello, violins, and waaay too much free time. xP XD The weird thing is his cello has an orange-looking finish to it. It stands out in concerts and he always feels awkward. xd My trumpet friend has a drumset because his sister was a percussionist/saxaphone...but he never uses it that much. Hikaru Bubbles Haha, I'm pretty good at the sax (3rd chair out of 12 peeps), but my section thinks I should be a percussionist because I'm good at the drums and keeping a steady beat, I guess. xD
Although, I would like to join drumline next year. ^^ Psh, drumline. Pit's where it's at. ;D Though, I'm biased since I'm section leader for our pit. XDD IMO, we do just as much work as the drumline what with hauling all our stuff and all the different parts we play...and we don't only take percussionists, we even have a bassoonist in our pit because he can't march it. And an oboe on the bass line. But some people are good for drumline, some are good for pit. Maybe you'll be good for drumline, unlike me. biggrin

We had a bassoonist switch to sousaphone last year and our director mocked him for it sometimes: "Sorry Michael, I can't put your bassoon reed in your sousaphone mouthpiece hole....or could I? i've got two bass clarinets.
both are only mine until i graduate, though. ):
one's a really nice buffet crampton that i use only in concert band and honor bands.
the other's a really crappy selmer which i'm trying to get repaired to i can march it next year!

I have two flutes, one piccolo, one electric piano, and one violin.
Amidst my entire house (not counting mine), there are 5 pianos (2 grand, two upright and 3 electric.), a synthesizer, 4 trombones, 2 guitars, another violin, a clarinet,a drum set, and a few random plastic things (ocarinas, recorders, whistles, etc.)
That's probably not everything either.
(I have a musical family.VERY musical.)
