Well, I don't think she really could have made me, but my step-mom kind of wishes she could when I wouldn't stop going back for more icecream.
SO... I went to the aquarium today because my sister's boyfriends come to visit from out of town, so it was kind of a triple date deal. My 'date' just happened to be my best friend who is completely not interested in that way though. So, it was really awkward to say the least. And then we went the museum of beveragey delight next door before finally getting in the car to go feast on greasy food.
So, to conclude in a very 'GD'ish manner, does anyone else get thrust into very awkward situations like their parents inviting people just to make you feel like a loser or is it just me? Because this seems to happen all the time, often with blatant remarks and hand-gestures to boot, and I'm getting pretty sick of it.
Post Script: I sound really lame, don't I? Oh well. I guess, I am anyway.

My parents never did anything like that to me.
My friend on the other hand... She was dating this one kid and they wanted to hang out, but he had to bring his friend along.
So I had to come along too. And damn this kid hated me! Just because I liked the Mighty Ducks.
Although if my parents tried to do that I would tell them no. Or if they are saying s**t I'd change the subject.

Mighty Ducks; animated or movies? I love Mighty Ducks pinball slam at Disney Quest. That's about all I know on the subject, really.
But you're right, I should just tell them to shove it.

The NHL team. Although I loved the movies too. I wanted to become a hockey player because of those movies. Then I realized I couldn't skate and I doubt they would let a girl in the NHL.

Actually, with the cutthroat court systems today, I think you'd have more problems with the not being able to skate aspect.
But hockey is kind of awesome. I love anything that actually resembles a sport. Unlike poker and such. I mean, are they serious?

I would be amazing at hockey if it wasn't for the ice part...
Everyone in high school was amazed by my hockey skills. Lol. The guys were afraid to go after me, but I was in the middle of everyone and I kept stealing the ball from people. ^_^
Yeah, poker is so not a sport. I love when they have the spelling bees on the sports channels. Spelling is so not a sport! I think for something to be a sport it has to involve some kind of physical activity.
Although with spelling you are using your brain and that like a muscle or something. And thinking would be a workout. I think I just sprained my brain...

Bob says...My friend's ex used to try and set my up with all of her friends. Dx It was very annoying since I wasn't interested in any of them.
